What can a New York pay-what-you-want donut experiment teach us about trust?

so I set up a little "donut shop" in New York just to test people's trust. I basically had it as pay whatever you want for some coffee and donuts. in the end I ended up getting $13 back. what do you think about these types of experiments? if I had more products would you think more people would give some money? I just think its interesting to see what people end up doing if you do these types of things.
