But women used to be allowed a life of simple leisure.
Go from dad’s home to the husband’s home, do some house work at her own pace and raise her kids for a few formative years
But then have access to money, go to book clubs, community gatherings, churches, whatever she might be into.
Nowadays as the workforce doubled overnight, a single income cannot guarantee such a life unless it’s a top earner which is a rarity.
So many women have most the options that their grandmothers had in exchange for the options their grandfathers had
And so say men had it better back then would be a lie.
Because men worked themselves into earlier graves to provide for the wife and kids.
They had no choice.
Feminism made it so we’re all equally slaves of the machine.
We’re equal sure, but also slaves.00 Reply

1 moProbably the girly girls. They've always had a parasitic life style. They want to live off a man. All the women where I grew up were man hating communist types. They would insist that they didn't need a man. Who knows / cares if they did. Let them die with their cats. The main thing is I learned I don't need a woman. I'm happy like this. Women are how you get disease and divorce.

Does a woman ever end up regretting a choice. Probably. Everyone makes choices in life they may end up regretting at some other point in life. But everyone is entitled to make those choices. Making a few bad choices does not invalidate your right to choose for yourself. That is called freedom and free will. Self sovereignty. And freedom is never risk free. To me that's what true feminism represents.

3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Females were always happier than men until feminism gained traction and low and behold they are less happy than men.
While women generally are more depressed than men, Liberal are particularly unhappy with 1/3 less completely satisfied with their life.
They are also more than 3 times more likely to feel lonely.
Liberal are twice as likely to have anxiety than conservative women and way more than men.
Women are far more prone to neuroticism than men and Liberal women score highest of all. All these unfortunate afflications are related and correlated with feminism and Marxism generally.
(Feminism is Marxist, so Same Same.)
So it does seem feminism has served women very badly
00 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I'll give an example of how dumb MOST women are. Most women will claim that hasn't hurt women's happiness, yet there are FAR more women on anti depressants and mental health related medication now than EVER in history. They are too dumb to realize what they have done to themselves.

1 moThat's strictly a individual thing.
Women that are hellbent on never having kids, won't ever miss not having them so they will be happy about not having kids.
Women that wanted kids but delayed having them for whatever reason or can't no longer have kids will most likely deeply regret later in my life.00 Reply 708 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Definetly no. Feminism gave the choice of kids if they want to have them and those who dont are not forced to. So women are happier.
20 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes. They haven’t seen the full results which is sitting alone from 45 years old onwards. They will cling to their bothers and sisters as say they have a family but they will miss out on having their own which would mean so much more.

m 1 moIt seems to mostly hurt happiness of those who feel in charge of women's happiness, those are usually not women themselves lol

Anonymous(25-29)1 mobecause having kids takes away from a woman's happiness, but not a man's happiness. Thats why women dont want to have kids anymore. Trust me, if having kids made women happier... more women will be having kids

Well that's only when the kids are born where humans are designed to love their kids and take care of them well BUT AT AN ENORMOUS SAD SACRIFICE of the mother.
Opinion Owner1 mo@Jersey2
you never know if someone is truly happy. you never know what happens behind closed doors or beneath fake smiles or the fact they might cry at night.
But nowadays the only happy mothers are the ones that don't to work jobs and are married to rich men who can support the kids.
Nowadays, moms work 8-12 hours a days only to come home to continue do another 6 hours of childcare, cooking, cleaning, does it sound fun?

Studies show the healthiest women are single women without children. Not married women
Studied also show married men live longer than single men. But married women don't necessarily live longer than single women- 1 mo
Of course that is nonsense so I asked via a cut and paste of your statement to Grok AI, here is the answer.
No, the statement is overstated and not fully supported.
It stems from Paul Dolan’s 2019 claims (based on misinterpreted ATUS data) that single, childless women are the “healthiest and happiest.” Critics note flaws: it confuses current vs. lifelong status and often reflects separated (not happily married) people. greatergood. berkeley. edu
Broader evidence is mixed:
• Married people (esp. in good marriages) often live longer, have better mental/physical health. aspe. hhs. gov
• Parents tend to outlive childless adults. jech. bmj. com
• Single/childfree women report high well-being/autonomy in some surveys, but recent data (e. g., 2025) shows married mothers happier. ifstudies. org
Bottom line: Depends on marriage quality; no clear “single childless = healthiest” consensus.
Opinion Owner1 mo@Jersey2
A prominent perspective in behavioral science, popularized by London School of Economics professor Paul Dolan, suggests that never-married, child-free women are the happiest population subgroup
The Research: Dolan’s analysis of the American Time Use Survey found that unmarried, childless women reported higher levels of pleasure and lower misery than their married counterparts
The reasoning: Proponents of this view argue that married women often shoulder a disproportionate amount of domestic and emotional labor in heteronormative relationships. Conversely, single women without children tend to have stronger social networks, more financial independence, and the freedom to prioritize personal goals without traditional societal pressures

Why Are Many Single Women Without Children So Happy?
www.psychologytoday.com/.../why-are-many-single-women-without-children-so-happy
Opinion Owner1 mo@jersey2
Dr. Kimber Shelton, a Texas-based psychologist, names the latter as one of the main reasons that women are happier and healthier living alone. She explains that “research continues to show that in comparison to men, women in heterosexual relationships who work outside of the home continue to take on most of the household responsibilities and childcare labor. Working, coming home to cook, clean, attend to children, and meet their partner’s needs leaves little room for consideration of self.”
If happiness is tied to having more time and space for self-noticing and self-nurturing, then there are many reasons why women may wish to delay or forfeit marriage and, instead, tend to themselves. “Single women can focus on their needs and wants. If they prioritize their health and wellness, there is the space and opportunity to have these needs met,” adds Dr. Shelton.

Are you a bot, I just answered that about Dolan. Cut and paste answers from a file.
Well Taylor Swift has all the options in the world and just got married yesterday. To be invited to the wedding there was even a “no ring, no bring” policy. This means if you are invited don’t bring a +1 unless you are married to them or engaged.
People are getting married. Better educated people if I remember right. Perhaps they are smarter or perhaps they are just better positioned to be married. Enjoy your cats.
