Today is 9/11 and I remember having to sing that song in school. It made me proud to be an American but today I'm not so sure if I can say the same.

I have no reason not to be. We have our sins and our flaws, just like any other nation, but we also have our virtues just like any other nation. Sure, there's a lot that needs to be fixed and corrected and there are things we will have to answer for, but that won't make me not appreciate being an American.
