Religion does not need to directly embrace pedophilia to cause it. It often ruins childhoods and how adults treat children (spare the rod.., honor and serve thy parents) which then causes mental illnesses such as pedophilia.
Same way secular child abuse causes pedophilia without trying to (where is this non-religious age-gap troll who complains about being abused by adults...) ㅤ

Not sure if it's all religious based, but man there are a lot of cases about religious figures molesting/raping kids in the big religions of the world. There is also a lot of hiding allegations and discrediting or paying off victims while not getting rid of the offenders.
Not saying it's disproportionate to the general population but it's enough to notice and like I said, the offenders often get treated like victims themselves. They get away with admitting weakness, say they prayed on it and the flock of sheep just go along with it and turn on the victim as well. Kinda sick really.

Agreed, but there arr quite a number who claim to be Christian, and go to church regularly, who criticize others while accepting this in their own house so to speak.

I'm someone who rarely goes to the church these days, but i live my life according to Jesus's teachings while others are regular church visitors but does nothing from what the bible had taught them to do 🤷🏻♂️
