What happens if Democrats win Congress and Trump refuses to accept it?

Based on all the available data, it looks like the Democratic Party is going to heavily prevail. But then what?

Our democracy, and at this point the security of our country, is threatened by a cabal of people deeply unworthy of the power they now hold in this country. This isn’t a moment to further analyze how we got here, however; it’s a moment to analyze where things have to go from here. Democrats gaining back the House and Senate will be a powerful win, if it occurs, but it in no way means that all our problems will be over. First of all, should that occur we have no idea what President Trump’s response would be. Many speculate he would become apoplectic, doing anything from suing State election officials to seizing ballot boxes and voting machines to even declaring martial law. It’s long past time when any reasonable person should assume the rule of law means anything to Donald Trump. In his mind, the highest law is himself. So what happens next?

Donald Trump is likely going to claim the elections was rigged just like he used to claim the Emmy Awards was rigged when his show didn’t win.

I would give it a maximum of one year, probably a lot less than that. Trump tends to respond to these kinds of things very quickly.

So if Trump accepts the election results, how long will it take for you to admit you were wrong? Is that also a year?

If he actually accepts the election results, I will admit I'm wrong within a couple of months because I think if he doesn't react immediately, he's not going to react at all. At this point, I don't want to try to predict what his reaction will be past a verbal outburst, but whatever it's going to be, it worries me. He is not going to passively accept losing. At minimum, he will scream and yell that all of these elections that he lost were rigged.

How is Trump’s screaming and yelling even a matter of consideration? Trump has been screaming and yelling for years, and now you're predicting that Trump is going to scream and yell.
This sounds like those questions I've read where Trump isn't actually skinny and yet he calls people fat!!😂

Well, I certainly would not bet against Trump screaming and yelling. That's for certain. I don't know what the odds are, but I suppose we could look at a prediction market and find out.

Well it matters to me because this is my country that he has systematically vandalized. That hurts. Additionally, when things go wrong for him, he tends to try to mobilize his followers and that usually doesn't end very well. There is routinely a lot of violence associated with his followers to begin with and I don't want any of that coming back to haunt me or my friends or my family such as it is. Sorry.

We have a laws in this country for a reason. Actually many reasons. Most of us respect those laws and like the idea of law and order. He has been breaking our laws since before he got in office and he does it with impunity. That is infuriating and it also sets a terrible example because other people are now breaking our laws too. Maybe not with so much impunity, but they're doing it anyway. It's like our policing functions have completely broken down. I think we are slowly but surely becoming disordered and chaotic as a result and very very dangerous.

Do you mean like the summer of riots of 2020? I think it was 500 riots. Car is burning Business is burnt to the ground… all over a career criminal drug addict. I'm worried about that happening more so than Trump starting anything. Trump gets a little mouthy and that shouldn't bother you.

People died in Right wing the riots at the Capitol. I'm not interested in whether businesses were messed up or cars were messed up. Besides, which the right wing is about to lose these elections in the next few days very badly. I'm worried about them doing their usual thing and threatening everybody but the violence because they lost and claiming that the elections were rigged which of course they are not.
