This didn't just start.. some schools all over the U. S. have been bringing it back for ages. Found an article from 2006 about it in the NYT: Anthony Price, the principal of Everman Middle School in Texas, reinstated corporal punishment last year. “It’s had a huge effect,” he said.

Of course those of you who think it's good to put emotions first and that weakness and being comfortable is how you build a society won't get it.

After decades of trying the softer approach to dealing with kids, more government schools are starting to try the old tried & smack them till they conform or leave. I approve. As much as some of you whiners want to claim that getting smacked for violating school rules is the same as when your drunk parents smacked you in anger when you'd done zero wrong to make themselves feel better, it's not the same. We've been soft for too long. Too many kids with zero self-control grow into adults who think it's right to steal/kill others for their own pleasure. In the old days, 1.) Most kids behaved without even having to get smacked at school, 2.) the kids who did get smacked either learned to be better or they got expelled. Either way you ended up with a school that had fewer bad apples which is better for the good ones.

Next step needs to be bringing back the ability to expel bad apples and not help them in any way. Also hold parents accountable for their kid's actions in the world. If the parent doesn't like it they should send their kid to a boot camp or orphanage. Maybe some of these parents need a good whack too. Ha ha ha ha.

I'm pretty convinced that all this woke stuff isn't that bad. We're not offending anyone so much as worrying if other people will think its offensive. No one is getting canceled who didn't deserve it.

We're just pent up for our own vain reasons.

Like you see someone, maybe you recognize them and you don't like them, or they're just a stranger but they're alone and you feel angry. Would you ever actually attack somebody in real life?

It just seems like such a huge leap from wanting to hurt someone in theory and actually doing it. I can't imagine actually randomly attacking someone else. I've had intrusive thoughts and the occasional power fantasy, but it's just that. Fantasy. To think of it in a real, literal context feels cold and sick. I don't even want to do it for real. It can just be cathartic to entertain fictional scenarios sometimes.

And i mean never, not a single one. would you think it was pointless to continue paying taxes to support that local fire department?

I feel like in this day and age, especially since the pandemic and all that bullcrap, parents are starting to become either abusive (in the form of "strict") or soft. Kids who have been physically hit or unsolicitedly got their stuff taken away by their parents, and those who had been forced the "anti-nuclear" (pro-Jezebel, pro-Sodom and Gorrah agenda) bullcrap equally are being set up for depression and failure. It really shows.

Just went to Chinese buffet… saw too much stupid American behavior. Little kid touching the food and pushing utensils into the trays…without adult. Teen girl touches top of a plate… then puts it back on top the stack.

Looks like people need to be taught manners and require certification before going to buffet

From my perspective , I thought having a variety of diverse opinions on different topics/ conversations was considered a good thing but today , I’m feeling like a dinosaur.

It seems like the concept of being somewhere in the middle is no longer the norm and either you’re on our side 100% or you’re on the enemy’s side.

This guy got killed/murdered by several teens in nyc. Seeing their careless disregard for life, you know their mentality. These are very sick kids that needed intervention long ago. So many of them around now to manage, doing a lot of damage. Good guy, 4 kids, working hard... and that's that!

If he was armed, would you as a citizen defend his right to defend himself and shoot the attackers, even if he "messed up a bit". You know what I'm thinking.. things aren't so simple when under threat. Maybe he shoots one legit and the other was running away by then and gets shot. run the scenarios in your head...

Hopefully you see the point of my question. The "Balance of power" in our country has shifted to the criminals. We need cleanup our society, get back to law and order, respect, get these people off the streets... before you or I "go down" the wrong way.

I made no other option.. I'm forcing you to choose. You will protect the victim to some degree, or you will hold them accountable for anything they do wrong. That's reality in court isn't it?

For what it's worth... I feel for this man and his family. They were what I'd call "good americans", "good immigrants" that make this country. I'd protect him, if I saw this I would have jumped in to help him... and probably got beaten up. We the people cannot allow sick people to destroy the country. simple as that.

Curious... in my area are many Ukranian and Russian people. Are you all getting along given the war going on in your native countries? I wonder if there are tensions outside the areas of fighting.

I think there should be drug testing for any incoming parents and I also think that there should be an age limit to how old anyone can reproduce; for women I'd say 30 and men up to 35 or 40 (depending on his background); I say this mainly for scientific and psychological reasons based on my living experience.

Whenever we spend that extra 60% on food, rent, gas and utilities…whenever we look back and realize we should have never shut down the economy to save a few lives for a highly publicized flu…whenever we look at our children and realize their future is ruined thanks to massive spending and ruined education…who do we look at to blame? How do we avoid this catastrophe from ever happening again?
