It seems like the concept of being somewhere in the middle is no longer the norm and either you’re on our side 100% or you’re on the enemy’s side.
I want your honest opinion on this
this concept It's been mentioned to me a few times now...
but I've never been worried or concerned about it being "outdated or still trendy" or anything like that?
it doesn't really matter to me, I am not trying to be popular, trendy or on demand... lol
I am what I am, it is what it is... and it's genuine
it's also true that "nuanced" is only one thing out of few other things I am going to be, or you're going to perceive me to be
also, today's world is very varied... and there is so many ways to be, not just one., and that has never been the case
I appreciate you’re being truthful
It's not. Being a voice for moderation and the middle path is harder and more needed than ever. You usually only see this kind of closeminded drawing of lines in the lead up to wars.

With today's extremists? Definitely. I'm on neither side myself, and I see both the left and right get over-emotional and stupid on some really dumb crap (though the left is far worse at it). Nuance is becoming antiquated when everyone is an extremist. Though I've never fit in with most people anyway, so I'm comfortable always being the outsider.
In other words, "you either ride with us, or collide with us!"
It's the malaise of a disintegrating civilisation.
The problem with freedom of speech is that letting anyone say anything means you're putting the fool on the same platform as the scholar. But expecting the fool to be as educated as the scholar, in the facts and subjects they speak of.
I'm going to assume you are mainly referring to the political environment. I thinking identifying as neutral is becoming unacceptable for those buried deep in either side. I don't understand how it got to this point.
Nuance is an indicator of intelligence and the ability to engage in critical thinking. As you are an intelligent person, we would all expect no less from you.
I appreciate that , that was nice
No. Take Russia for instance I’m glad in America I won’t go to jail for saying Ukrainian soldiers on the front buying stolen helmets and body armor in the market is stupid and a waste of 🇺🇸 money, maybe we should pay more attention how we spend our money since we are $100k + interest in debt /man woman child in our country. If Larry Fink and David Rubenstein say social security is going away I’m not counting on that being there for me, definitely some rough times ahead 🌊
I don't know about outdated... It's timeless.
Underrated and rare to find in the current socio/political environment, however...
It often seems like it. Most people are too dumb for nuance.
In a world inhabited by NPCs, original thoughts are priceless. Value them.
9/11 divided America so yes
It's ok it works out
