Should I feel embarrassed losing a fight to a girl?

Occasionally my kickboxing class holds tournament events, and because the class is a mix of guys and girls, some of the matches include girl vs guy fights. In these circumstances the girl will be a higher rank, to compensate for the guy’s natural physical advantages. Anyway, I took on a girl in front of an audience, and although I was well ahead on points, I ended up losing badly at the end 😒 so now I need to know: am I right to feel embarrassed and humiliated for losing a competitive fight to a girl?

I should add that the girl won the fight with a full contact front kick to my groin. With no groin protection allowed, it was obviously an instant and extremely devastating win for her 😒

A men should NEVER EVER LOSE TO A GIRL in such an activity that is considerated dominated by men.
1 time at a basketball tornament for preparation a team of kids lose to an older team of girls to a small score. They had become the shame of the tournament and all the other team destroyed the boy one. The smallest diference from that tornament whit the boy teams whas like 50 points. Exept whit the girls game.

Lets hope this is a harsh leson you learn it on the hard way and never ever repeat again in an activity that is considerated mens to have the advantage.

I think the way in which the girl won our fight was the harshest lesson of all 😒 so I definitely learned the hard way. The next time I fight against a girl, if there is one, I’ll do everything I can to not have a repeat lapse of focus and concentration. This will be the only time I lose a fight to a girl.

Nope. This was not some street fight that you lost and need feel embarrassed about.

Competitions are about chance and skill. You lost to a better competitor

No, of course not. I could maybe understand you feel embarrassed because you're competitive but humiliated seems really excessive, especially when she is a higher rank. So I think she has more knowledge and skills

No you should not feel embarrassed at all. You lost to a more experienced opponent that was more skilled than you at the time of the match. You also were very brave in fighting her the proper and honorable way; you had no cup or groin guard on and your unprotected testicles were a legitimate target because there was no rule protecting them. You had to rely on your own natural defenses. She was able to exploit their vulnerability and win that match, but you gained valuable fighting experience. Anyone who says men should never lose to women is living in the past. They probably have never seen some of the truly muscular females who spend hours working out, probably using some test. supps, and are built like brick shithouses!!! They have muscular development some males would envy. It is quite possible for them to be efficient and effective fighters. Add in the fact that you were fighting without any protection, as you always should, and you got best fair and square. Anyone who criticizes you should man up and fight under the same conditions. Fighting with a female who is quick, strong and cunning, and who is trying to flat out de nut you with a full force kick straight up into your testicles to win the match is truly a force to be reckoned with!!! Hold your head high, better luck next fight!!!

To me that should be an illegal point. Look what happened in the karate kid movies - point lost for illegal kick to the groin.

Groin kicks are legal though and groin protection is banned. Against girls it compensates for all the natural physical advantages guys have.

So then you can kick the girl in the crotch as well? I’ve heard that they can hurt just as badly but I don’t know how - maybe hit in the clitoris?

Yes, full contact kicks to the groin are allowed against both competitors, with no groin protection allowed, so girls can be kicked there too. While it’s still very painful for girls, it’s nowhere near as devastating as it is for guys. Girls use knees and kicks to the guys groin way more than guys do because of how effective a finishing move it is and a guaranteed win for them.

Be the bigger man and don't be a sore loser. I have dated girls in the past that could do some athletic things better than I could. I supported them and was proud of their accomplishments.
