Trending & News Around 5. At around that age, they are big enough and have enough hand/eye coordination and other skills to be able to accomplish things. Soccer, basketball (with a smaller ball and lower hoop), frisbee, catch (with a softer/Nerf ball), and plenty of other games are all excellent for both physical and mental development, as well as learning good sportsmanship. Obviously their skills and sportsmanship will continue to develop with age and experience.
It depends on the parents and sports
My kids started in age of 5. It helps create a discipline and commitment. Also structured day and week give a feeling of safety and predictability.
Health and condition improvements are priceless.

My son was steering our (small) sailboat (in easy weather) when he was 4 or so.
He sailed by himself when he was 6.

Kids should start playing things at home as soon as they can walk
Prior to 8 years , as soon as practicable , improves coordination , so " none of the above "
five/six years... ideally, at the age they feel more interested/eager to
It depends on the sport. As early as 3 for some sports is fine.
Even younger that 8 years old.
