I’d have to go w martial arts? I like Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, boxing or Karate. There are some similarities between each sport that require similar equipment. I think it’s a great choice, teaches discipline. Yes it involves fighting, but it’s more than that, it’s about discipline. It’s about knowing you don’t need to fight unless you really have to. Builds strength, cardio, friendships. I e taken Muay Thai, my son took that as well as Jiu-Jitsu.

When I was younger I did track and field. It really boosted my confidence. My team always cheered me on during my races and I was really just racing against my past self

Swimming might be a good sport but it has its risks. I say swimming since it is not a contact sport where you are touching or interacting with other players so if the child is somebody people like to bully, the chances of bullying are lower. But swimming could lead to drowning and maybe even intentional drowning in severe and very rare cases.

  • Tennis is an excellent sport for building a child's confidence. It teaches discipline, hand-eye coordination, and strategic thinking. As they progress, they'll develop self-assurance through individual achievements and teamwork in doubles. The sport's emphasis on goal-setting and personal improvement helps instill a strong sense of self-belief and resilience. Tennis fosters social skills through interactions with coaches and peers, creating a supportive environment for growth. 🌟🎾

Rugby. There's a place on the team for different abilities. If you play tag-rugby then you can mix boys and girls together.

I don't know anything about American football but here kids are often pushed into rugby as much for the social side as the sporting one

All of them, depends on how good they are and what the coach is like

You are welcome. The first three weeks adjustment is tough for everyone. Encourage him to stick to it and he'll be great.
