Mike would win.. Tua definitely had power and a god KO rate of 83%, but Tyson has him beat in all categories.. Tyson is a better technical fighter, he's faster and has a KO rate of 88%..

Tua mostly relied on his power and he had a good left hand power, but Mike's power was ambidextrous.. Even then if you mix Tyson's speed, accuracy, and power together, it comes out to be more devastating.. David would've been too slow for Mike.. Not to mention Tyson was a World Heavyweight champion, and Tua was only ever a contender..

I agree. Assume both fighters are at their peaks, the only advantage that Tua has is body weight & that is due to fat & not lean muscle. Iron Mike faster, stronger, a better & harder puncher, better mover in the ring, better defense. Barring a lucky punch from Tua, he is gonna get beat up by Tyson. To me there really is no comparison here, you have an all- time great heavyweight in Tyson being compared to a fringe contender in Tua. David Tua could bang but at a lower level- in his most testing fight against Lewis he barely laid a glove on him all night long. He fought Ibeabuchi & also lost on points. Now peak Tyson can do everything that Ike Ibeabuchi could do & a whole lot more. Tyson by TKO whenever he feels like it.

Exactly.. Even just looking at the videos, with the KOs you could tell the difference.. Tua seemed to take a bit longer to get a KO than Mike at times.. But yep, you're right, besides their power being close enough, there's really not a comparison.. Tyson was just an all around great fighter, whereas David could've been, but he went to lazy route of relying solely on his mass and punch power..

I was a bit disappointed in Tua’s performance against Lennox Lewis. He seemed a bit one-dimensional and lackadaisical to me. I really expected more from him in that fight.
