If your national team is bad at the national sport should they be punished?

We're in the middle of the Six Nations Cup (rugby) and already Wales have lost twice. This is the equivalent of the USA losing at American football to Japan.
Many people here would like to see them stripped of their possessions and publically flogged before being tossed into the sea.

So thoughts, if your national team brings shame and dishonour should they face severe consequences?

No it's not. American Football isn't played on an international level. In fact, it may be the only national sport on earth that's only played at club level.

As for Rugby, a lot of countries have it as their national sport, so someone has to lose. But if we're talking about Wales losing a Rugby match to say India (which I don't know if they even have a Rugby team), then yes, there should be some sort of punishment.

I don't know if Rugby has a nation's league, but in football nations leagues for instance, if you lose, you simply get dropped to a lower division. Maybe they should do that with Wales.

What is worse is they lost to Scotland, it’s about 20 years since Scotland last won in Cardiff. I mean yeah Wales also lost to England. Just as well the Channel Islands don’t have a team in. I do think having the stocks in place on Westgate road, Bute park or some place, might make them realise how much they fucked up.
