The key is to turn off notifications so ur devices aren’t constantly beeping!

Keeping in touch with popular culture and current events is useful, so I don’t mind strangers following me (as long as they aren’t my students)

Nice take. I hardly use facebook and mostly stick to facebook messenger to contact people. I do use the purge on instagram and i unfollow people i barely talk to.

I use instagram but I still like this. I literally made a whole new account and I requested people that I want to follow my account. I’m carefully monitoring my account now.

i don't have any people i don't regularly interact with on social media. thus i always have less than 100 people on there. i think having more than 100 friends is just hoarding contacts for bragging rights or to convince yourself that you're popular or some idiotic shit like that.

This is why i dont use social media. If i wanna talk to someone or know whats up with them its easy. Thats what a phone is for. Text em , call em. Problem solved. But #!$@ social media its no better then school yard drama. Which im too old for now.

You don't have to unfriend them to not see their posts, just unfollow them, on facwbook they won't even know. They may come in handy at some point, of course, just thos eyou may think are useful
