Alienate overpriced :)
Look if you don't need porablitiy go desktop way better specs for same amount of money. And can upgrade in future and save tons of money an still fast snappy etc..
Can easily be repaired if one part did break.
:) if u must get a laptop stay away from alienate for value is low.
Check mail, Asus, gigabyte, razer.
I advice with razer u get the external dock option so in future you can setup a desktop like experience at home if u need better performance like desktop gaming performance down the years when your hardware becomes outdated.
:) Got it?
If u need more advice or help feel free to reply to me here or pm.

Thanks, but I've already got something in mind.

You can get mid-grade 3D graphics that are perfectly fine for most uses in a comparable laptop for half the price of a high-end gaming laptop, and that laptop will last just as long.
Unless you're a 3D gamer who pushes your machine with the latest, most graphics-intense games, or unless you're doing 3D modeling/design/animation on that laptop (and if you are, you already know why you NEED such a laptop), then you're probably wasting a lot of money just for a logo and some extra LED light colors.14 Reply- +1 y
Yes i will tend to do graphic design more than anything else

+1 ynope... alienware is very overpriced, also its the same hardware you can get on every shop...
longevity isn't a argument for a buy... in 5 years you need new hardware anyways or u get stuck with the same old games. because new ones wouldn't work anymore02 Reply- +1 y
5 years is good longevity compared to buying a shitty $500-800 cheap laptop that goes kaputz within two years of use.
- +1 y
if you ask me... search for someone who can build a laptop for you, buy the hardware, pay him 50 bugs or a dinner and you get the best value for your money.
+1 yI wouldn't... they command a price premium because of their name, but they're still made by Dell who are not renowned for quality.
There are far better brands of gaming laptop out there if that's what you want - Sager/Clevo, RoG, Asus, or Falcon Northwest if you are rich.00 Reply476 opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic. I haven't looked at them for awhile; I think they got bought out by Dell, though they are still branded separately.
Do you do a lot of gaming? That is kind of their niche - high performance graphics and such. For general quality and longevity, I don't think it would be worth the premium they charge.05 Reply- +1 y
Dell computers hmm 😒
- +1 y
No i just enjoy the high res graphics and fast performance in an aesthetic designed computer hardware.
What do you think it's worth getting if not the Alienware? - +1 y
I haven't looked at laptops for awhile - I bought a macbook as my current laptop but that was for particular reasons. You should be able to do some searching online and see what is reliable. There are a lot of laptops out there now with nice graphics that are priced better than Alienware.

Ok thanks
If you're gaming I would suggest building it custom yourself or find a site that let's you choose parts and then they build it for you. Of course I'm also talking about a pc not a laptop.
A good gaming laptop could costs as much as a high end pc, but is less powerful.
Also if you plan to play on the go like at a library or Starbucks just forget it. The battery is going to get drained if you're not plugged into an outlet and a WiFi connection could probably lead to a poor gaming experience.00 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Technology & Internet topic.
+1 yi wouldn´t buy alienware. yes you get "quality" there but also you pay a lot 1. for the alienware brand itself and 2. for the brand name product that alienware uses. i personally would rather have more bang for my buck instead of paying the most amount possible for a certain hardware.
but it´s still way better than an apple laptop :D00 Reply
+1 ynot sure about longevity but if you prefer great graphics and speed , you may go for alienware
11 Reply- +1 y
Thanks
Alienware computers are really good gaming PCs and laptops for sure!
However they do "brand-inflate" their prices. You can find an Asus or HP gaming laptop for $1100 that Alienware will charge you $1500 for!03 Reply- +1 y
graphic design
+1 yI tend to follow a simple rule with this:
If you can go to Best Buy to buy it, there's a better alternative. There is either a higher quality or lower price product available, and usually it's both.00 Reply
+1 yWith Alienware, you're paying a lot for the name. And with laptops in general you're paying extra. I have a $1500 desktop and a $2600 Alienware laptop. The desktop has much better hardware at a fraction of the price.
05 Reply- +1 y
When did you get yours?
- +1 y
Just under a year ago, but the differences between now and then are extremely minor.
- +1 y
Alienware 17
$1600
i7-770HQ
16gb ram
GTX 1060 (6g)
128gb ssd + 1tb HDD
Sager NP8174
$1380
i7-7700HQ
16gb ram
GTX 1060 (6g)
250gb ssd + 1tb HDD
All the same features, and you even get some extras. For a lower price.
This is just one example of many. - +1 y
is Sager a good brand?
- +1 y
They are, but a lot of times brands matter very little. Most people might say something like "HP is better than Dell." Or something like that. But neither HP or Dell make the components. Both of those PCs have a video card made by nVidea. Ram probably by Crucial or Corsairr. Precessors by Intel. Whatever shell they decide to put around them really doesn't make any difference aside from which you think looks better.
+1 yNope, way too much money. Get a laptop you can do work on and use for basic entertainment and if you wanna game then build your own desktop alongside it. Better overall gaming experience and better for longevity.

+1 yunless you are a gamer or use a computer for like video editing i don't really think the costs makes sense.
02 Reply- +1 y
It's for graphics and some video editing work!
- +1 y
so perhaps then. although even then you probably don't need a comp with that kind of performance... but you won't be disappointed with it
+1 yThe word "longevity" should never be mentioned in the same phrase as the word "laptop"...
All laptops, especially gaming laptops, overheat constantly and are hard to repair. You can get a better gaming PC for less money.00 ReplyNo. Too expensive. If you need a laptop than go with a brand less known for gaming. You'll get a nicer looking laptop without that "gamer" look and a lower price

Can you give me ideas?

I don't like lenovo
haven't followed their products in quite some time, but if nothing changed then they have decent devices but they are way overpriced. You pay a lot extra just for the name
01 Reply
+1 yYou'd be better off just doing it yourself. You don't save much but you pay more for the Alienware name then anything.

+1 yIf you want a gaming laptop, go with Asus, lenovo, or MSI.

Lenovo is slowwww and does hAve the best setup. A friend bought the tablet. It died quickly. He had it for 4 months.

I mean it doesn't have the best setup

Did you own one?
- +1 y
No, but I recently purchased my own gaming laptop and after extensive research, they tend to cost a lot more with lower end hardware compared to competitors, I'd recommend looking into the MSI brand.
umm no. it's for gaming
