Sometimes, when I call someone it only rings just 1 or 2 times and then it requests a voicemail. But this does not happen all the time and not for everyone. Does anyone know its reason?
Can just hit a button and it'll send them to voicemail.

What is the Reason Why the Phone Rings Twice and Goes to Voicemail?
The simple answer is that the phone company's system is designed to do that. But there's a bit more to it than that. When you make a call, the phone company's switchboard routes your call to the called party's phone line. If the called party's phone is off the hook or otherwise not available, the switchboard will try the call again a few seconds later. If the called party's phone is still not available, the switchboard will route the call to voicemail.
There are a few reasons why the phone company's system is designed to work this way.
- First, it allows the called party to know that someone is trying to reach them, even if they can't answer the phone at the moment.
- Second, it prevents the caller from being kept on hold indefinitely if the called party never picks up.
So there you have it: the next time you wonder why your call goes to voicemail after ringing twice, you can blame (or thank) the phone company's switchboard for its efficient design.
Do 2 Rings Mean You're Blocked?
If you've been wondering whether or not two rings mean you're blocked, the answer is: it depends. There are a few possible scenarios where you might see two rings instead of the usual one.
- Maybe your phone is having trouble connecting to the network.
- Maybe the person you're trying to call has their phone turned off.
- Or, in the case of blocking, maybe the person you're trying to call has blocked your number.
If you think you might be blocked, there are a few things you can do to check. Try calling the person from a different phone, or using a different method of communication like email or social media. If you can't get in touch with the person at all, it's likely that you've been blocked.
While it can be frustrating to be blocked, there's not much you can do about it. If you really need to get in touch with the person, your best bet is to try another method of communication.
How to Fix ''Phone Rings Twice and Goes to Voicemail'' Issue
If your phone rings twice and then goes to voicemail, there are a few possible causes.
- First, check to make sure that you have a signal. If you're in an area with weak or no signal, your phone may not be able to connect to the network to make or receive calls.
- Second, check your phone's settings to see if you have call forwarding turned on. If you do, calls will be sent straight to voicemail.
- Third, your phone may be set to Do Not Disturb mode, which will also send calls to voicemail.
- Finally, it's possible that your phone's battery is low, which can cause calls to go straight to voicemail.
If you're still having trouble, there are a few things you can try.
- First, restart your phone. This can often fix minor issues like this.
- Second, try calling from a different phone.
If the problem persists, it's likely that there's an issue with your carrier or network. Contact your carrier or service provider for help troubleshooting the issue.
