I really like this one
What are your favorite intellectual/academic YouTube channels? Looking for suggestions?
I really like this one
www.youtube.com/user/scishow
Its just general science news
He doesn't do science or anything but www.youtube.com/c/WeirdExplorer
he basically is a fruit hunter and reviews very interesting fruits and gives a good break down of them (very interesting stuff).
Tasting history is a good one, its historical cooking, so he goes into the history and the myths behind ancient recipes (even sites old cook books (from ancient rome, china, to 1800s). www.youtube.com/channel/UCsaGKqPZnGp_7N80hcHySGQ
I also like Townsends, its historical living (in fact the group that does this also provides historical props for movies in order to ensure accuracy). www.youtube.com/user/jastownsendandson
If your interested in ancient history, specifically rome, Invicta is a good source for that:
www.youtube.com/user/THFEProductions
If your interested in world mythology, theology and things of that nature here are a few sources for that:
Mr. Mythos: www.youtube.com/channel/UCKaoE6fyoUJOgcoqbyuK9LQ
The Legends of History: www.youtube.com/channel/UCy-VnRxdzpcQSnR8nPo4wWw
Storied: www.youtube.com/channel/UCO6nDCimkF79NZRRb8YiDcA
If your interested in political Tim pool is a good choice: www.youtube.com/channel/UCLwNTXWEjVd2qIHLcXxQWxA
Politics from a legal stand point I would go with Viva Frei: www.youtube.com/channel/UCzGiDDKdphJ0GFvEd82WfYQ

Jordan Peterson
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL22J3VaeABQApSdW8X71Ihe34eKN6XhCi
Academy of Ideas
https://www.youtube.com/user/academyofideas
I tried following academic videos for around a year and I could not bring myself to enjoy it most of the time, I thought the speaker was always too close minded and constrictive and would delay giving you the most important points until you had watched the whole video. But top think is something I enjoy since their shorter than ted talks and cover a broader base. I also like Lewis Howes interviews cause he edits his videos so the boring parts are removed.

Man, Jim Can't Swim is one of the few youtube channels that can make me want to sit through 2 hours of interrogations.
if you want the hard sciences here is a good one https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1yNl2E66ZzKApQdRuTQ4tw
this channel does geopolitics, its a bit amateurish but the speakers themselves are very knowledgeable
if you do enjoy foreign affairs and geopolitics this is a very good channel
https://www.youtube.com/embed/EtXrkfh7L-0She does small bits of journalism on obscure topics
https://www.youtube.com/embed/dQDGtEmJM0Qthe Hoover Institute is a pretty hardcore academic. its princeton university's talk show basically where they bring in well known academics to talk about their recent research https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzWwWbbKHg4aodl0S35R6XA
and here is a computer programming one https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbfYPyITQ-7l4upoX8nvctg

I already follow a couple of these!
I found a new one and it isn't so intellectual, but really entertaining and at least somewhat educational here (crude history combined with cooking):
youtu.be/Jp5_20DUUxE
The video/channel you posted is really fun by the way! Have you seen the movie, Murder Party, by any chance? It's like a horror/comedy making fun of the "artiste" types.
https://youtu.be/AIyjXcODchM
For history I mostly watch HISTORY TV-18, history buffs, Naša srpska arhiva and the armchair historian and for educational interests I love to watch MAD SCIENCE, TKOR and I'm not really a fan of one single channel but the type of videos I watch are generally re-uploaded since YouTube removes them. Since I study in social sciences programme so I mostly just research a lot about different political ideologies since we have to write a lot of essays everyday. I'm obsessed with drones as well since I find them very fascinating and watch a lot of new reviews and tricks to modify them, also interested in phyton and I make a lot of RC stuff out of Arduino so it can do many more things than just move I watch Flite test and Peter stripol for that.
I have been a huge fan of The Game Theorist, which also has two other Channels called Film Theory and Food Theory, taking the sometimes Craziest Theories, and over analyzes them to either create some Extremely Believable reasons to see them to be too hard to not see as True, or to prove them to be just too outrageous to even be remotely believable. And the means to which he does so is through Science, Physics, Mathematics, and LOTS of dedicated Research into Reliable and cited sources.
Of course, all through an extremely entertaining and entirely engaging Entertainment by a Charismatic Content Creator.
I enjoy political podcasts... Though, I think in modern times it hardly counts as intellectual.
I suppose I also like Simple History. Neat little concise videos about events or topics throughout history with an excellent narrator and amusing graphics.
My only 'subscription' is:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCw8neN02mV6o4ue9IJOJIRA
(Happen Films)
I also enjoy some of the National Geographic stuff.
It's called What IF they do all sorts of scientific theories of what could happen from about living on other planets or scientific things about the Earth.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/BEnOzPcleRwAre you interested in science or music? I know several of those.
Science: Answers with Joe, PBS Spacetime, ans Physics girl.
Music: Adam Neely and pretty much every one he links too.
Thanks!

Epic history tv
It's more like psychology/crime, a channel called Jim Can't Swim (JCS). this guy pretty much watches video interrogations of criminals, analyzing and dissecting their behaviors. And he explains why they do the things they do.
For sciences, kurzgesagt - in a nutshell does a pretty good job.
I agree! I like it a lot!
This is a pretty good one
https://www.youtube.com/user/RobertMurraySmith
Real Crusades History, Timeline-World History Documentaries, History Time, Voices of the Past, An Ear For Men, Sensible Prepper, and The FieldCraft Survival Guide.
I watch or listen to material from these frequently.
Hey I watch sensible prepper and the fieldcraft survival guide too. Sadly we don't have a lot of ammunition available at hand here so hoarding becomes difficult.
Sweet! Ammo is like gold right now.
Really anything with Jordan Peterson I enjoy listening to his debates and lectures, seminars, etc and personally agree with a lot of his points.
I love Kat Blaque, Hbomberguy, Philosophy Tube, Contrapoints, Hank Green and I don't remember others at the moment.
I really like vsauce. It's okay to be smart is pretty good too. Any of the science-y ones by John and Hank Green are good too.
luisito comunica, he only speaks Spanish but his content is rlly culturally informative
also kiwami japan, he does random things like making a knife out of tofu & he has a great sense of humor
Jordan Peterson is a great person to look up. One of my favorite things from him is how he interprets the Bible verse “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth”.
