lets say that you had time control, You are in 2022, You somehow time travel to 2009, You have 1 million copys of the new 2021 M1 MACBOOK PRO max that came out days agos, If you sold them could apple sue you? since they never actually created it? The future them did? Because in 2009, THAT model macbook has not been created nor has that model OS or hardware.

Depending on how different the OS is, you MIGHT be able to avoid a suit on those grounds, but the logo and labeling clearly identifying it as an Apple product would probably land you in VERY hot water.

They might- MIGHT- try to make some kind of deal with you, depending on who's in charge; you don't get to be running one of the biggest companies in the world without SOME brain power behind you. But Apple generally takes VERY poorly to people ripping them off, and their code is THEIR code; it belongs to them, because they rightfully stole it from Xerox and Atari.

Hmm. You don't seem to get the scale, kiddo. 1 million Macs is a practical warehouse of stuff. You would be sued by anyone nearby for turning up with that much clobber out of thin air!

So lets scale it down and say you time travelled with one Mac.

Legally it's still Apples stuff and they have IP rights to anything with their label and using their kit on their platform. Hence it would still be Apples property, But more importantly, Apple would probably kidnap and chop you up to get hold of time travel tech.

To prevent them from suing me I would request to speak to Steve Jobs since he hasn’t passed away yet. In the meeting I would tell him about How I upgraded the MacBook Pro and he can buy me out if he wants. If he says no then I’ll change the name and sell it on Amazon or eBay.
