How often you get your smartphone's battery replaced? How often you take your PC (not Mac) to get it upgraded or up to the speed in the store itself?

My mom's laptop was required an upgrade for SSD because of speed issue, so I thought what other people do in such cases.

My Samsung was required to change the battery after nearly two years, in this September only, as it was getting discharged really quickly. I am also partly responsible for that, with drastic charging.

I own a 1996 Nokia 1011 that is still working on its original battery pack. I never had to replace any parts of my cell phone because it does what it was originally designed for and that is to make phone calls only.

As for my PC, it is a very old notebook that works on an open source OS and that I solely use to write my homework and occasionally for my GaG replies.

I have never taken any of my electronic devices to a shop as I am not the type of person that needs to have the most modern and up to date equipment.

iPhones have lithium polymer batteries right? As opposed to lithium ion batteries, which are there in Samsung or Android phones.

I have 1st gen phones and laptops that still have the original battery.

What you don't seem to realise is that using shitty chargers and knocking your devices about, damages the battery as well as the device.
