What does it mean if someone deletes you on Snapchat and now it says accept friend next to their name?

I was talking to this guy on Snapchat but we quit talking. One day he deleted me so I deleted him too. I recently noticed on Snapchat that it says “accept friend” next to his name. I didn’t get a notification that he added me. He’s not listed under recently added. Did he add me back recently but Snapchat didn’t give me a notification? I don’t want to accept it if he didn’t recently send it.

Ok so this is really confusing to me, only bc I had it happen and what I was told is different than what you’re saying. For one, do you know he deleted you for sure? Or he maybe just cleared your conversation? Because I had once deleted a friend that I thought deleted me. But turns out they did not delete me, the ‘add friend’ was there because I deleted them. Does that make sense? I even reached out to ask and they said they never deleted me so I felt bad lol.
