When searching Google maps do you prefer sat view or normal?

Most of us have Google maps on our phone or something similar. You have a choice of viewing either a traditional style map or a satellite view. But which do you mostly use?

I generally use both views if I’m looking for somewhere I’m not sure about. Most car’s have sat navs these days but I think it’s good to see the lay of the land so to speak before I go anywhere. If I’m going to a new town/city it’s good to see an ariel shot of the car parks available and the road layout. Plus if you tap on the map you can get the nearest postcode to enter into the sat nav.

I usually do normal view first and then switch to satellite view. Normal view has less clutter and it's easier to see things. Satellite view gives a better picture of what I see when I'm actually there.

Both. Depends on what I need from the map at that point in time. Sometimes I want to see where a turn lane is. Or the real truth of a sidewalk. Or whose car is in the driveway.

Mostly I prefer to start with the classic view, and sometimes I like to check the satelite view, which often adds some interesting details.

I use a map as a ''map''. There's no need for additional infotainment.

Satellite views serve a different purpose to me.

It depends why I am looking at it, if I am looking at roads then I look at a road map, if i am looking at something in the world then i use the satelitte view.

I like sat view unless I am using it for directions. I'll have to use sat view next time for it.

Sat view. I’m trying to get a good feel for what everything looks like from above so if I ever astrally project I’ll know where I’m going.

It depends on the situation, but usually normal. Love satellite, by I use normal mostly because it's more functional.
