Is there no better way to deal with your problems or are they so desperate for clout they'll do anything to get views? I don't understand this. Do you have no friends to talk to or a therapist or your mom? Has social media actually become a replacement for having people in your life that you trust and rely on now?
It's driven by the desire for attention. TikTok is interesting because they will gain a ton of followers and "likes" for a complete shit show. They get absolutely shit on doing that on other platforms.
But there is a reason they get the views there and not on youtube (unless it's someone ripping them a new one about it on youtube)... also the same reason popular people on youtube get banned on TikTok. It's a form of China turning us into degenerates (worse than what we already are). They green light shit like eating tidepods or these pathetic whamen crying or acting all "scrong and idnependent" , with fake likes and more exposure...
Meanwhile on the Chinese version, you'll be exposed to classical music playing and math lessons. That's right, they green light the dancing Covid nurses carrying dead bodies for us, and that shit would be banned for themselves.
I mean seriously... it's one of the few things that both the Democrats and the Republicans are trying to shut down right now... by working together... just let that sink in.

I don't know. I dig a more open book and sharing style of communication to invite maximum growth and learning from each other, but crying and complaining a lot is generally considered quite shameful at least here in Japan.
That's embarrassing. Turn the camera off!
There's a difference as I see it in being very open and expressive in a very mature way (which I like) vs. being so mushy and desperate. All that tends to invite at best is pity.
My fy page never shows such content to me to be honest, it is personalized according to what I like or what content I search for or how much time I spend on the content I watch. Therefore, I have no clue what you are talking about.
Seeking for sympathy. I know this woman who filmed herself crying about her infertility and rough pregnancy journey. She got over 2 million followers since then.

They are thirsty for attention, sympathy, and clout. They are empty people who are trying to use the internet to fill the hole in their soul where their sense of self-worth should be. The vast majority of these people grew up without a father in their lives, and it really shows.

because it works... you're looking at them
posting about them... and then here we are... giving them more time and exposure, lol Look at me. LOOK AT ME!!!
That's why. And invariably it's typically a woman. There's an epidemic of this in this country today. Most women today just want constant attention. And they don't differentiate too much between bad and good attention. So whatever she has to do. Be that I video of her over the top overdramaticly bawling her eyes out, showing her cans, whatever works.

Because we live in a time of oversharing and people loving the attention and validation of online people
