Did my research, waited for the right moment and I switched when the 15 came out after having the s21 for a couple years.
The main reason I switched was because android never fulfilled the promise it made when it first came out which was that having a operating system that people could code on easily would lead to better features, more flexibility and freedom from being stuck with one developer.
At first, that was 100% true. I had custom launchers, live wallpapers, always kinda buggy, which the bugs got better but the battery life was always a problem.
Then I got an s8 and could never find a launcher that worked better than the origional even though I wasn't a big fan of it. And eventually the iPhone started adding a lot of the features I was still using on android.
Then I bought the s21 which was not that much cheaper than an iPhone, they got rid of the finger print reader on the back that the s8 had which I loved, the camera was alright but I knew the one on the 15 was about to be good enough to aid in commercial work. Android still never got a good facetime alternative which to me showed their decision makers were detached from reality. They had problems with the cell service antennas or maybe the software. They never tried or succeeded to imitate any of the message features like functioning over wifi and sending files easily.
To me, a phone is for communicating with people. Whether that's voice calling, video calling, sending files easily, sending a thumbs up for a message and it doesn't look insultingly goofy and since getting an iPhone, Apple has proven time after time that they understand that and android thinks a phone is about personalization.
Are there Features I miss? Yea. But they weren't really that important. And my life and ability to network and communicate with people has improved considerably. It became life changing within the first 60 days.
"Oh, can you send me that audio file, I want to listen to the master in the car. I go on Google drive, copy the file to imessage and it sends a perfect copy, with no 2004 compression like it was meant for a flip phone. I could have sent it to a dj for a live event and without touching the file it could be added to their set. No email, no stupidity, no delays.
That's my favorite thing about apple even though it doesn't do absolutely everything you want the way you want, what it does do just fucking works. I don't have to worry about it, I don't need to explain anything to anyone.
To answer the question lol I don't see a reason to go for the 16 unless you're due for an upgrade and you can lt stand your 14 or whatever. There's no way I'm getting rid of my 15 this year. It still holds a charge for practically the whole day.
No, not at all. All you're missing out on is having a tracking device on you at all times, risking cancer by having it next to your body and allowing "them" to spy on you and listen to your "private" conversations.
Try one for a year or two and if you don't like it, sell it. You'll get a good amount of your money back. If you like it, then you'll know. I love mine.
Probably not. It's the whole marketing strategy, even thewizardliz said so
well that person called me jealous
