My adventure through The Midwest and South Part 1:

For those of you who may follow me here on GAG, you might be aware I took a trip last week to Louisville, Kentucky to visit my cousin. Turns out it was quite a journey, and a lot of surprises popped up. This chapter will mainly focus on the first and second days of the trip. There will be a part 2 in the coming days, but for now I hope you enjoy part 1.

I boarded the bus in my town about 10:30 am. It took me 30 minutes to the Greyhound station in the next town over where I waited 3 hours to get on the next bus to Knoxville, Tennessee.

My adventure through The Midwest and South Part 1:

After a brief stop at the Asheville terminal we came across a steep mountain pass on Interstate 40 near the NC/TN border. It took us around 45 minutes to get rolling down because of all the semi trucks going down. We finally rolled through The Great Smoky Mountains to Knoxville about 7:30 pm. I waited in the Knoxville terminal till about 8:30 pm when the bus boarded to head to Lexington, KY and Cincinnati, OH. At about 8:45 we headed up Interstate 75 in the Tennessee/ kentucky night till we got to Lexington at about 11:30 pm that night. My cousin then greeted me with a hug, ham and cheese sandwich, and diet coke from a local sandwich shop as I haven't had any real food all day.

We finally got to Louisville about 12:30 am where I finally fell asleep on a mattress in my couisn's apartment. We woke up at 7 am the next morning where we had heard President Trump was going to be in Louisville that day. So, my cousin's roommate went to work where He is a chemical engineer. Me and my cousin went walking around her neighborhood where most of the houses are of Victorian era (by the way, my cousins name is Victoria).

We walked around Old Louisville which is a gentrified district where College students, professionals, section 8, and working class all live together. It is actually one of the most Liberal areas of Louisville. We had breakfast at a local 24 hour diner which was similar to a Dennys or Waffle House.

That day since President Trump was going to be in town she decided to take a 2 hour road trip to Cincinnati to see Jungle Jim's International Food Market (which I will do a separate review on). After Jungle Jims we went to a midwestern Superstore chain called Meijer which is like a fancy Walmart. We also went to the abandoned Cincinnati Mills where Kohls and Bass Pro are the only 2 stores left standing.

After heading back to Louisville, we went to the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge to walk across the Ohio River to Jeffersonville, Indiana.

That was the first 2 days of vacation. The next 2 days will be in a separate take. However, next I will be doing a review of Jungle Jim's International Food Market because I feel like that deserves its own mytake.
