What is the best part of Germany to travel to?

I want to see the Black Forest one day.

If you want to see the black forrest I would recomend going there. Maybe a trip to Mannheim and Heidelberg could be combined with that. For another trip I can recomend an area called franconian swiss near Nuremberg, Bayreuth and Bamberg. They also have great bears and wine there as its parts franconia in wine and bear areas.
A totally different view on germany can give you Hamburg, or Bremen much more north and the national park schleswig Hollsteinisches Wattenmeer. And of course our capital city Berlin is a trip in on itself. A modern city that also is rich of historical meaning.
And again another area is the in Northrhein westphalia region arround Dortmund which has a long histroy of mining especially for coal. Most of these mines are museums now. There is probably much more but I would say these are areas in germany which are enough different from one another, that they are worth a trip if you are interested in germany.

I enjoy Bavaria, but each of the 16 German states- along with Berlin are interesting. The Black Forest, while nice, is actually quite small, only slightly larger than Sequia National Forest in CA. I would suggest a cruise along the Rhine River over visiting the forest. An excellent time to visit Germany is in late September. The weather is generally good, and Octoberfest is just around the corner.

Germany has many nice places. I've been to northern Germany (Hamburg, Berlin, Lubeck). I hear Bavaria (Munich) might be the best for tourism, and I'd like to go there some day.

In the Black Forest you will be eaten by trolls. Every major part of Germany (16 states) has interesting places to visit. You could stay a year and not see everything.
