How much money do I need to live comfortably in New York?

I’m heading there for a internship for a couple months and I wanted to know what to expect. I don’t want to live on the absolute minimum and I expect to go out and do things. How much would you say I’d need per week to live comfortably and be able to do what I want?

I would say $60,000 to $90,000 would help you be comfortable and eat nutritious food. I am not familiar with the middle class areas there cause my extended family is part of the ultra elite there.
