As everyone knows many places in the USA are named after British and European towns, counties, cities etc. So just for fun here are three Americanish places in the UK that aren't on the tourist map. Which one would you bother going to if you had nothing else to do?
Norton Disney. Famous for being the ancestral home of Walt Disney where his Norman ancestors oppressed the Anglo-Saxon peasants.
Florida abbey. Strata Florida is a Latinisation of the Welsh Ystrad Fflur; 'Vale of Fflur' or Vale of Flowers’ is famous for being the ancient capital of Wales.
Coney beach, Porthcawl. Named after Coney island, New York it was built to entertain American troops during the war and kept on going. Famous for being a death trap and keeping the local population down ever since.

Which af these American British places would you bother with?
Honestly as an American that has spent 12 years living in Europe, I like to go see all the old historical shit... like Disney and Cooney Island bullshit is like are a dime a dozen in states... why would want to go do the same shit can do in the states?
Many Americans are stupid that way, so you are not off base here, the stereotypes are real.
I’ve been to Coney Beach on route from Cardiff to Swansea. It was actually quite fun. Maybe more kinky street food but I don’t think Jamie Oliver would like that very much.
