At least 100 shot in Chicago every 4th of July weekend. What the hell is wrong in Chicago Illinois. It is really a war zone?

Several years ago (20) I and three friends flew from Oho to Chicago in a private plane. I LOVED CHICAGO THEN! We went everywhere, rode the LOOP and just had a great time in CHI Town.

Why has Chicago turned into a battle ground?

While in Chicago, we also went to a world class Museum. Sad to see Chicago become what it has become.

It's a densely populated city full of certain racial demographics with a culture of gang banging. Shootings happen every night, usually with situations where no one involved is exactly an innocent bystander. Holiday weekends just ramp up the activity.

It's hard to solve because the general public just learns to mind their own business and stay away from it. Big city police get fatigued with dealing with random crap all day, and don't want to be bothered either. They'll come by with a body bag and fill out paperwork but don't want to do much beyond that most of the time.

My guess is it is the same shootings that occur nationwide but added to that people who fire randomly to celebrate 4th of July combined with a dense population.
