If you could pick a city/state/country to start all over again in where would you go?

Imagine its all expenses paid (moving expenses are covered, new home is covered, travel fees are covered, etc) and you can even have a new identity if you want…. State wise I’d choose North Carolina with Texas or Georgia as backups. If I had to choose another country, it would probably be Australia. Canada is just way too cold for me. #FeelFreeToList

Well not so easy to start over because type of work you are qualified for makes it difficult to change.

Of Australian states I'd pick Western Australia cause I liked the people there on a recent holiday. Downside is it is more expensive because people have more cash to splash due to mineral wealth. Great beaches and the Indian ocean is more placid than the Pacific. Suits a semi-swimmer like me.

In terms of countries hmmh. I'm inclined to look for an island state. I would like an even temp 20-30 C all year round and an island in the Pacific is going to deliver that. Its temp is going to be what the ocean temp is. Fiji regularly has coups so that puts me off a bit but temp wise it is perfect,

Buggar all really. The beaches are crap and it is chock full of sea snakes. You have a point.

There is good internet though, so you could remote work ok. Never more than 30 C and never less than 20 C has appeal. Are we just aberrant in wanting exciting things to do? Driven in work and consequently driven in relaxation activities. Dunno and I guess you wouldn't till you tried it.

If I had enough land for a garden and a jet ski for adrenaline I think I could be OK. But you are right it would be sort of retired and maybe I would miss roller coasters badly.

I live in California and still prefer it, mainly because of the weather. If I could magically move my home and property to another location, though, I'd pick somewhere on the southern California coast. Maybe the Palos Verdes peninsula.
The problem with California is the current state administration.

I also love Ireland. I could be very happy there.

Realistically, I probably wouldn't want to go anywhere that's too different from California. So, if I REALLY wanted to leave, Hawaii would be one of my first options.
Other options that would truly mean I was starting over would be somewhere on the east coast. I'm sure I've already mentioned Vermont and Massachusetts before, so I guess either one of those states would be fine. 😄

I'd relocate domestically within Australia 🇦🇺 up to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in the state of Queensland. The lifestyle is very chilled and laid back, beaches ⛱️ aplenty and the climate is fantastic especially in summer ☀️

If I had go to stay state side it would be in California. Otherwise probably outside of Tokyo. If I ever move to another country again it'll be Japan. I had a mixed experience living in Australia, but I'd always recommend to someone to try living in another country.
