I think the US has very impressive landscapes
No. They're not that impressive and there are countries with nicer landscapes
Meh. They're alright.

The U. S. is a large country and one of the few that has a very diverse climate. Where I live it gets very cold but doesn't snow much. In Erie, PA, it's not uncommon to see a yard of snowfall each winter. My mom lived in Michigan and remembered one morning when she had to climb out the second story window to get out of the house (she had to, in order to feed the cows). Likewise, we go to south/central Texas where any temperature that drops below 70 is considered cold. We have areas that flood often, like where I live, and areas that get hardly any rain. Then we also have places like Seattle which almost never see days without rain. No other country has this diversity in climate and such. Along with this diverse climate we also have some truly impressive landscapes. Yellowstone National Park is the largest area of geothermal activity in the world. Mona Kea is the largest mountain (from base to tip) in the world. Although the badlands are becoming worn away (a foot a year) and Niagra Falls is becoming less impressive, they're still pretty impressive. Large swaths are just fields (along the interstate highways) and are boring, but you can find some amazing things that are unmatched in the rest of the world throughout the U. S.
Europeans who haven't been in the US tend to be full of themselves. But Europe has nothing like the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, or Alaska. They don't have wildlife like Bison and Grizzly Bears. They also don't have anything like Sequoia and Redwoods, or Death Valley, the Sonoran Desert, or the Mojave Desert. Nor do they have anything like the Great Lakes or our western plains.
Europe matches the US in grand mountain ranges with the Pyrenees, Alps, Apennines, and Carpathians. Both have warm and cold water coastlines and beaches. But the US has a lot more undisturbed, undeveloped coastline.
Grand Canyon, no
Hawaii, Azores and Madeira (if you wanna count Madeira as Europe)
Alaska, Norway has the same kind of landscapes
Europe totally has bison and brown bears and plains, are you kidding me?
"Undisturbed coast" is mainly in Alaska, Hawaii parts of the west coast and maybe a few places in Maine and Mass. Aside from that, our coastline is very developed especially in the east. Washington and CA are the only states in the lower 48 that still have sections of coast that can only be reached by foot or boat.
So I don't know where you got all these impressions from
That's kind of a ridiculous thing to say, and I suspect the person saying it is either from a different country than America and slightly too prideful of it, or disdainful of America for one reason or another. I can't think why someone would make such a statement without some heavy emotional bias filtering their perception.
America is a massive country. It has all sorts of landscapes in it. Some are mundane, some are impressive. America has enough tourism to prove that clearly plenty of people find American landscapes impressive and worth seeing. Of course there are other sights in other countries that you can't find in America, but that doesn't mean America doesn't have a single sight worth seeing. That's just ridiculous. Certainly the Painted Desert at least doesn't look 'super normal'.
Other countries have painted deserts tol, but I don't know of any other countries that have something ressembling the Grand or Bryce canyon, and Arches, I've only seen something similar in Chad.
Per square mile, the US generally ugly, as almost all the beautiful places are concentrated in the Western states. That being said, I truly believe we have the most unique landscapes on earth. And you're right that we have pretty much everything. The only thing we don't really have that other countries have are places like Ha Long Bay or Phuket. But I think when it comes to diversity of landscapes, the US is number 1. The only other country that comes remotely close is China.
The USA has some impressive features, but it is also the most overrated country in the entire world.

YES and NO. While the US does have a lot landscapes that look like that, we also have a lot of landscapes that look like this...

The US is a large country and the vast majority is boring but there are plenty of beautiful places. Maybe Oklahoma isn't the most Instagramable place I'd put Hawaii up there as one of the most beautiful places on earth.
The USA is enormous, of course it's going to have diverse interesting andscapes as well as mundane boring ones.
I guess that Facebook post was just react bait.
This was the comment "Well, it looks pretty normal. I suppose you've explored more of the USA than other countries. In many places, you see similar, more beautiful landscapes. There are national parks in many countries"
ONE person posts something on FACEBOOK and you are concerned?
Not concerned haha just wondering. This was the comment:
"Well, it looks pretty normal. I suppose you've explored more of the USA than other countries. In many places, you see similar, more beautiful landscapes. There are national parks in many countries"
There's nothing normal about the Everglades, or Grand Canyon, or Painted Desert, or Yellowstone, Yosemite. Some people, particularly Europeans, have a bias against all things American, and they love to put down the USA. Yes, there are beautiful things in other parts of the world.
"There are national parks in many countries" Is this person suggesting that there are no national parks in the US?
Tbh it was a Latino group. They also seem to be very anti-American. This person was Argentinian. I just got curious because to me those places seem WOW (I'm from Costa Rica) but a lot of other people are like "meh, China has prettier nature" etc
Oh please, America has better landscapes on average than most of Europe and more diversity in landscapes as well.
Sounds like whoever said that is just SALTY at the United States. Do we have the highest mountain in the world? No. Do we have the highest waterfall? No. But name me a Canyon more iconic, more photographed than the grand canyon.
