How can I rush a birth certificate for a passport?

They sent me a letter telling me my birth certificate was damaged... there we a few holes over the info on it.

I have the website to apply for another one. I can't get anyone to pick up the phone at the office for BC records in the State I was born in. Should I just fill out the application and proceed. Or still try to get a hold of the office? I need this asap

Mothers can be a warehouse of info such as birth weight, time of deliver, attending physician. Baby books are great for that. Many times a birthcertificate is issued to the mother when she leaves the hospital. or shortly thereafter.

Quickest way to get a certified/stamped copy of your birth certificate is to go in person to the Records Office where you were born. That might be difficult if you no longer live near there.

Yikes this is tough. Where are you going where you need a passport? Has your last name changed at any point in your life? Such as for marriage. How soon do you need a passport?

@cherrylove007 How is the process coming along? When you do get the birth certificate, there is a way to order an expedited passport for an added fee. I remember when I got mine, it was only 3 weeks and that was NON expedited. However I think I was lucky and there was no name change to check on or anything like that. For your situation I'd go expedited of course to get the quickest time.

just call the hospital you were born at. they'll have the records you'll need and tell you what you need to do.

I don't think you can rush it, usually these kinds of documents are time consuming and there's normally no way around it or to speed up the process

I was not born in the state I'm living in
I have to contact the state Birth Records Clerk office... they didn't pick up on Friday. I left a message.
