I just wanted to memorialize these 13 brave men who stood up to a Russian warship. they would not budge an inch as you can hear in the audio in this video here. All of them are now dead. RIP. May they forever be remembered as heroes-martyrs even!

And that is what happens as Ukraine attempts to become a part of NATO. 30 countries are already a part of this alliance. It's all about money and westernization. Although Ukraine is no longer a part of Russia, they want nothing to do with the US in (or even around) them. I'm not saying what Russia did is anywhere near ok. But the US government and it's alliances are among the biggest criminals that only care about two things: power and money.

In fact, they plan on having 'public executions' after successfully taking over many of these Ukranian cities. In order to "break morale". You have a lot to learn my friend. How old are you? Many people are slaves to the media. They show you what they want you to know. Don't show you what they don't want you to know. As big as a criminal government Russia may be (and they are), there are bigger stories and war criminals behind this recent incident. It all lies in one word: history.

My point? Russia is not the "evil" center of the world and Ukraine is not the "victim" center. But it does seem that way doesn't it? There are other (even worse) things that have happened and is happening right now as we speak in other nations. But we'll never hear of them will we? Why? You guessed why.

Hint? Long story short: US GOVERNMENT and Israel

NATO exist to protect its members from being destroyed by war not to get them involved in such wars.

As such all NATO members have to agree to accept any new NATO Member, furthermore such prospective members cannot have existing conflicts that might force NATO involvement in a unwinnable war.

Otherwise we would simply be assuring the destruction of all NATO members rather than offering them protection via NATO's own Mutually Assured Destruction deterrence.

The Ukraine waited too long to apply for joining NATO, they should have joined when the other eastern Block countries joined and had to Join before Russia snagged Crimea.
They could have still joined thereafter if they had simply given up that territory and made peace.

Either way the USA supported Ukrainian NATO membership and tried to get it pushed thou, This is now however up to the USA alone.

@vald9inches Some people sit back and watch scenes, or read about combat situations. Unless you've actually been on the ground with bullets whizzing by your head, you can't imagine, in your worst nightmare, what that is like. For me, in Vietnam, it meant surviving jumping from a helicopter to rescue a downed Navy pilot, or crawling through the jungle underbrush to find the tunnel where an injured Marine is bleeding out and will die if I don't get to him. Mortar fire, 30 caliber machine gun fire strafing the ground in front of you, while you have this injured Marine on your back because he's missing part of his leg. No, you can read about combat, you can watch the sanitary telecasts of gunfire on the battlefield. But you can't begin to understand what it means to live through that.

The question is who thought putting only 13 poorly armed men on an island to defend it was a good idea. Did they even have the means to take on war ship? Is the island of any strategic value and if it was why wasn't it more heavily defenced.
Sure they were brave but news of hopeless unwinable battles only demoralizes your troops.

Snake island serves no strategic purpose, its just an island ukraine owns. It put a few men there to declare borders cuz without then ukraine doesn't own the island. The soldiers had no chance against anything tbh and there's no reason to make an island heavily armed if a single missile wiped it clean, pretty much why nobody uses battleships anymore.
