I've not really paid her a huge amount of attention, but my gal despises her.

I asked why, and she came up with some very good reasons.

1) Apparently she treats her staff members like shit.

2) She's tried to impose her way of doing things over tradition. That's not how it works.

3) Little things that girls notice, but guys don't. She never wears the same thing twice.

So my conclusion is that she's entitled, and doesn't know her place. Gold digger might fit into this profile, too, I guess?

If she is then she's a bit dumb. She could make more money in Hollywood than she'll have access to as a royal and without all the shit that will be expected of her as a royal. Anyone who marries into the life of a royal is taking on way more than just privilege. That family chews outsiders up and spits them out.

I don’t know. One has to make quite a few sacrifices to marry into the royal family. She has given up her career to marry Harry. If she did it for the money, there are many men in Hollywood she could have probably married without all the royal commitments and expectations.

The argument then was that King Edward VIII was the Head of the Church of England, whereas Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is merely fifth in line to the throne, so is unlikely ever to become Head of the C of E.

The idea of a divorced Head of the Church of England (despite the irony that Henry VIII founded that church to facilitate his own divorce) wasn't acceptable then.

But times change.
