Do you think we should attempt a "Tank the hit" approach to COVID-19?

Pretty sure it takes years (and lives) for humans to get immune from diseases naturally. The fastest approach would be to quarantine everyone, create a vaccine and then artificially create the immunity for everyone. The idiots in Florida at the beach are making it that much more likely old people will die.
No it takes getting infected once.
I think that would still be too risky. Young people can still die from the virus, even if very rare (it has happened already).
But the danger posed by the virus to young people on it's own wouldn't be enough to justify a quarantine.
Isn't that what the UK initially had planned to do and then they suddenly changed course? I don't what, what do tthe experts say about this strategy?
I haven't found any info.
I don't know how to feel about this personally, I'm an asthmatic myself. I'm not at a high risk like the elderly or people with diabetes, but I still need to be more careful than other young people. I get my flu shot every year, but there's no corona shot yet...

Being that reckless you Run the risk of it mutating into something worse
Not really; the risk of it mutating into something worse is determined by the number of people it infects which would be the same with and without a quarantine. The idea behind the quarantine is that you limit the number of people infected at a given time so the healthcare system doesn't become overwhelmed (flattening the curve).
Very smart idea because most people will be fine if they even get the virus
