If you weren't aware, for most of the population coronavirus isn't much more deadly than the flu but for the elderly it's way more deadly. This gave me an idea: we put the most vulnerable portion of our population under strict quarantine while letting the disease run through the healthy portion (after which they acquire an immunity to it). Then you remove the strict quarantine on the vulnerable population and the heard immunity among the healthy population will limit the transmission rate to the vulnerable ones and "flatten the curve". In other words the healthy population "tanks the impact" of the virus. I have some reservations about this approach in terms of implementation and ethics. What are your thoughts?
Pretty sure it takes years (and lives) for humans to get immune from diseases naturally. The fastest approach would be to quarantine everyone, create a vaccine and then artificially create the immunity for everyone. The idiots in Florida at the beach are making it that much more likely old people will die.

I think that would still be too risky. Young people can still die from the virus, even if very rare (it has happened already).
