He was still murdered. Boy I tell you, racist white people will look for anything to justify the killing of a black person/minority but the moment one of your favorite white celebrities or youtube influencer gets called out publicly for saying something racist whether it was present or past, suddenly everyone's taking things too far and "cancel culture" is just so toxic and we should just let them live. Meanwhile lets dig to find something in this black person's past so we can justify feeling it was okay that they were killed. It doesn't change the fact that this man died/was killed for no reason, when someone tells you I can't breath and you don't move your knee off someone's neck, then your intentions is to kill that person. George was murdered, and Chauvin deserved to go to jail. And that's that.
@Daniela1982 Most cases cops are justified on being tough on people that is resisting arrest. Also, if you pull a gun out be prepared to be shot. I would say 99% of the time if people do what cops says , they are not going to die. Now the guy in Missouri That media kept showing pics of him in 5th grade, but the guy was like 7 foot tall and wide and cop was size of Barney Fife and that would lead to a gun being pulled. The media showed pics of a little boy because they knew it would cause problems for cops. Media usually don't like cops , because police won't tell them all the information they have.
@scarlett774He was resisting them all the way. And you can call abortion anything you like. Because clearly helpless aborted black baby's lives didn't matter as much as a career criminal's did.
@888theGreat They never say what the criminal was doing, only what the cop was doing. They ignore the cops that have been killed trying to arrest someone or being ambushed by fake domestic abuse calls. They just love crime so are always on the side of the lawless because they themselves have no order in their lives. They glorify rebels of society yet hate Southern Rebels. They just don't have any decent sense in them.
@daniel1982 first of all you always bring up black babies which is so stupid, find a new taking point that actually makes Sense. Second of all cops choose their profession, they know what their getting into when they decide to put on that uniform, they know the risks of being a cop and supporting a fucked up system. And lastly people don’t ask to be murdered unwillingly by the police, you can try to justify murder all you want but you never can and you never will. It’s murder plain and simple. All those innocent people never asked to be murder by the police yet you couldn’t give a shit, don’t pretend you give a shit about “black babies” when you couldn’t even give a shit about the innocent murders by the police and it shows by you justifying a killer, how pathetic can someone be to justify a murderer and killer.
And criminals know what they are getting into when they do the crime. You are a career criminal soe time or other you are going to get arrested. And when you fight with the police to keep from being taken in don't complain when you get treated roughly. How many officers have been nice at the way they treat people and had their tasers or guns taken away and used on them. Why do you glorify crooks so much. Maybe you were lucky your mom didn't abort you. Because you are justifying murder yourself so stop being a hypocrite. But you are only 17 and don't know jack shit about life yet. Try growing up some. And when some black S O B comes to rape and possibly kill you don't call for the police. They will be too busy fighting with people that don't want to go to jail.
Hun your 32 and fucking delusional. I’m not justifying a murderer because Floyd didn’t murder anyone are you ok? Also he was arrested for a counterfeit 20 dollar bill and that bill happen to be legal. Also stop being racist it’s unattractive and makes you look even more of an idiot than you already look like
Not being on the side of career criminals does not make me racist. But of course bleeding hearts like yourself would let them all out of jail and not see any capital punishment for murder, even if they killed the one you loved the most, and even if they were tortured, had their nipples ripped off with pliers and other horrible things. If you spent as much time studying as you do on GaG you would be way up ahead of a lot of people.
What makes you a racist is saying “when some black sob comes to rape you” that’s what makes you a racist. And I never said anything about releasing anyone from jail, you just trying to change the topic because you know your wrong. Sucks to suck
Actually I didn’t say anything at all about black people nor did I specifically say I’m talking about black people, she’s just racist, it’s shows in the ignorant way she talks.
but the video now shows he was saying "i can't breathe" before anyone knelt on his neck... so its not clear the actions of the police resulted in his death
All it proves to me is that people should actually wait to hear all sides involved before deciding that they know exactly what happened. This DOES change the situation.
@FakeName123 Those lunatics always act like they were the ones involved in the situation and interrogations. 99% of the time they literally know NOTHING! :’)
Being able to consider ones view being wrong is a very useful trait. Unfortunately many people do not possess this. Reminds me of the experiment where people were given a test with different knowledge relate questions and most people thought they performed way better than they did... except those at the top of performance thinking they performed worse than they did.
@Marilynjuana Your approach does not leave much opportunity to create chaos and looting opportunities. Hence, it's not so popular. Nobody cares about Floyd except for his family. It was never about that, Floyd's death was just convenient, even better that it was in the presence of the police.
In addition to hearing all sides, one should also consider all instances not just a handful. There have been several instances of black people killing people that doesn't make the mainstream media, because it doesn't support the current narrative. Moral of the story is: there's nothing to do about at this point. These BLM extremists will eventually be rounded up.
@sp33d Completely agree. Some horrid footage has come out but obviously the media will not cover it since protesting criminals, especially of colour, do not fit the narrative. And the fact that this footage of Floyd had to be leaked is disgusting. It should have been public from the get go. In my country the footage still hasn't been published. Most have no idea.
@Marilynjuana We seem to be from the same country :) Yes, I don't see this topic anywhere. Maybe as a small side-note, if anything. I also find the choice of words "leaked footage" weird. It should be just "footage", but maybe it's just semantics.
I'm not a BLM supporter but I am a practitioner of Boxing, MMA, and Krav Maga. There is absolutely no excuse for an officer to have his knee on the neck of someone he's trying to detain. Both sides were wrong, but cops are not supposed to be the judge, jury, and executioner of people they're arresting. I don't care what's on the tape frankly, these cops fucked up and killed a man by using bad restraint techniques; they should still be in prison. And this is coming from someone that truly hopes he never has to do it, but is trained to bash a skull into concrete to defend myself and disarm armed combatants.

Still doesn’t justify people around the world burning down cities, destroying shit. His criminal record still stands, holding a gun to a pregnant woman’s stomach while she gets robbed. He had a bad record. The police officer was a douchebag as well. More reason why the police should follow the model of Scandinavia and reform should extend to prisons as well. I highly doubt any other person other than a black person could garner as much support since other groups of the human race aren’t nearly as easily manipulated as blacks (no offense) Why do you think George Soros allows his money to go into these groups? Then the extra money raised by BLM goes straight back into the DNC. Soros should be publicly executed for the entire world to watch
Dosent change anything for me. Yes, he had ample oppurtunity to comply which would have prevented whar happened. But he didn't need to die. The cops were too heavy handed in the way they dealt with it. It does go tk show the level of paranoia he had in how the police would deal with him. Not sure of this is from his previous dealings with police or a wider cultural mistrust
There are allegations that the drugs he downed right before the cops approached him might have played a big role in his death. Who knows what the truth is at this point.
I doubt to knee on his neck helped. He was cuffed, can 4 police officers really not handle him without having to put any weight on his neck or chest to compress his breathing? Yhey have to he cautious, his behaviour was off, but once he's cuffed they ought to have it under control
Not really. I said it before that it looked like he was high on drugs and the entire situation including stress caused some form of heartattack or circulatory collapse - which the autopsy confirmed.
The Cops knee was on the side of his neck, not the front. At best it would've applied pressure on the artery and not the throat. But people jump to conclusions based on their ideological beliefs rather than taking a step back and trying to figure out what actually happened.
Nooe it doesn't change my mind. Cops know what they were doing. They chose to kill him the could've used all that force to put him in the car for whatever reason they were arresting him for.
Clearly you haven't seen the video so it can't change your view. They got him back out of the car, because he was going insane in there and begging them to let him out, because he was claustrophobic and couldn't breathe even before anything was near his neck.
I did watch it lol Its still my opinion. Are you telling me that the cops are heros for killing this man? Let me tell you there are plenty people in the world who have health conditions. He was a little nutty but he could sit in a car he was in the car when they approached him. So if yojr referring to me saying they should've kept in the car instead of killing him. I can see what your saying because he doesn't feel comfortable and can't breathe but to me thats all the more reason why it was wrong to have put a knee in this man's neck for 7 minutes. I mean I don't know why my oppion matters so much to you anyway. If you don't see a problem with what happend then your just as bad as the cops.
That's why I am asking you, if you even watched the video. No, he could NOT sit in the car on HIS own statement he begged the cops to get out of it. For at least a whole minute he begged them. How can you say that, if you have watched the video? Makes no sense.
So what is your point are you saying he deserved to die? Or are you bored and want to start a fight for no reason? You might not understand but people have different opinions all the time it doesn't mean one person is wrong or one person is right. Its simply a perspective.
My point is calling you out on clearly not having paid attention to the video. You say the cops could've put him in the car - when Floyd clearly resisted going into the car for more than a minute yelling that he is claustrophobic and eventually also saying he can't breathe way before he was being teached anywhere close to his neck. Only _AFTER_ that the cops used more force.
This has nothing to do with "perspective", because those are facts that happen in the video. So you either are ideologically blinded or have not seen the video, because your statement is factually wrong and disproven by the video. That's my point.
I saw all of that my oppion stays the same i still think what I said. It is oppion because not everyone thinks the same. I don't know what you get out of calling me out but if it makes you feel better that's great.
Doesn't change much for me. We all knew George wasn't an angel, he did drugs and was combative but he didn't deserve to die. Fine, they had a lot of officers restraining him, and I could honestly even be okay with sitting on his neck so that he would pass out to make it easier to transport him BUT I just can not get behind keeling on a man's neck for 9 minutes while he's lays there unresponsive. you can't feel his chest move, he is no longer a danger, but they stay on top of him regardless.
this changes everything for anyone who cares about facts. The one thing it doesn't change, is he shouldn't have been kneeled on, but it's hard to call it murder now and it's clearly not a race-based incident. But funny how people aren't even noticing he said he couldn't breathe before he was ever on the ground, he was resisting arrest, and he told them to put him on the ground because he didn't want to be stuck in the police car. Maybe the positive that will come from this, is it will inspire people to not take lethal doses of drugs like he did because nobody wants to get filmed acting like that.
Its sad people are incapable of being objective, to watch this video and your response be "doesn't justify killing him" is such a rudimental analysis you are causing problems. It clearly shows a drugged up criminal resisting arrest and police officers not "attacking an innocent black man in the street" but following produces until they ended up on the floor (not where the police officers wanted to be) the last thing you can honesty call this is murder.
It doesn't change my viewpoint. I was always under the impression that he resisted arrest, which lead to him being on the ground, and I was always under the impression that kneeling in his neck was unnecessary and reckless. Had I been the type of person who assumes cops just randomly brutalize people for the hell of it, then my mind would have been changed, considering he very clearly resisted arrest for a long time.
Yes!! Once again the media manipulated public causing massive damage from rioting over not reporting the whole truth. I'm not saying he deserved to die! I'm only saying we deserved to know the whe truth. The US media is nothing more than a propoganda machine
No it doesn't, just cements it, I was 99,9% sure that he wasn't complying with the directions he was given and was resisting. If he just got in the police vehicle he would still be alive. Here you have a great video why it is really important for everyone to comply.
With all due respect, @Lyndsielee666, I wouldn't be so sure on what the cause for death is. There are allegations about Floyd ingesting a pan of fentanyl as he saw cops approach him. If he had not resisted, the cops MIGHT have been able to help by taking him to the hospital.
The autopsy report showed that it was a knee to his knee suffocating him lmfao. My best friend overdosed on fentanyl last year so let’s not even get into that shit.
@Lyndsielee666 I wouldn't trust anything the media reports anymore tbh. The fact that THIS video had to be LEAKED is disgusting, it should have been public from the start. I also didn't bring any friends into this, just saying what is alleged.
"The autopsy report showed that it was a knee to his knee suffocating him lmfao."
Yes. The autopsy report that the family commissioned. In the other one it says circulatory collapse due to a mixture of different drugs, covid AND stress. And in the video the guy said he couldn't breath way before anyone touched his neck. Did you even watch it? Because otherwise your view would've changed already.
George Floyd was experiencing cardiopulmonary and psychological distress minutes before he was placed on the ground, let alone had a knee to his neck. He was saying he couldn't breathe minutes before being placed on the ground. George Floyd was foaming at the mouth as indicated in a transcript of the bodycam footage, which is indicative of a drug overdose.
The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) allows the use of neck restraint on suspects who actively resist arrest, and George Floyd actively resisted arrest on two occasions, including immediately prior to neck restraint being used. The officers were recorded on their body cams assessing George Floyd as suffering from “excited delirium syndrome” (ExdS), a condition which the MPD considers an extreme threat to both the officers and the suspect, and requires extreme restraint. A white paper used by the MPD acknowledges that ExdS suspects may die irrespective of force involved.
The officers’ response to this situation was in line with MPD guidelines for ExdS. Restraining the suspect on his or her abdomen (prone restraint) is a common tactic in situations, and the white paper used by the MPD instructs the officers to control the suspect until paramedics arrive. Floyd’s autopsies by the Chief Examiner and Michael Baden revealed a potentially lethal concoction of drugs — not just a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl, but also methamphetamine.
Together with his history of drug abuse and two serious heart conditions, Floyd’s condition was exceptionally and unusually fragile. Chauvin’s neck restraint is unlikely to have exerted a dangerous amount of force to Floyd’s neck. Floyd is shown on video able to lift his head and neck, and a robust study on double-knee restraints showed a median force exertion of approximately approximately 105lbs.
People sure don't do their research do they? I'm sure you'll ignore what I said, every demonrat Leftist does. They only listen to their MASTERS.
I know you're stressed out over all this, go back to drinking your Hot cup of Tea/coffee and watch your CNN ok? make sure you remind yourself to stay away from reality ok?
@Consipracy_Theories you talk about others listening to the Masters but you don’t know you are one of those blinded by the masters too, do you? Nah you don’t know. The fact that you don’t know you are a sheep too makes it really bad for you cause you think you are wise so you don’t know you need wisdom. You have knowledge but zero wisdom
its not clear he was killed by anyone, he said "i can't breathe" before they knelt on his neck... so it wasn't their actions causing him trouble breathing
@007kingifrit ooof you run the internet and all things people post now huh 😂 you’re trying to justify a cop kneeling on someone’s neck for eight minutes straight bro. Are you stupid?
there are lots of good reasons to kneel on someone's neck for 8 minutes... like if there is a pandemic going and unconventional holds are necessary and the perp is hyped up on drugs
I continue to reserve judgement, as this is only an excerpt and not all that’s available to both the state and defense teams. There’s always more to the story, and we don’t have it all. Let the judicial system resolve it.
He was resisting, he was being a nuisance to the officers, behaving erratically. I understand why the officers wanted to use force because he seemed more and more unstable as time went on. There is no evidence of any racial motivation in here. Sure some things could have been done better but that can be said about literally any police intervention.
I knew he was high, before. The CCTV footage was cut at times, so I didn't understand why he wasn't just taken to sober up and be done with it. Now, it's shown he didn't wanna get in the car. I don't really get why he wasn't forced in the car. He was under arrest and had the right to stfu!
As for my viewpoint - it doesn't change a whole lot. I understand now Floyd would be alive had the officers not been so soft and just put him in the damn car.
Honestly this doesn't condone what the cop did to George Floyd I think we can all agree that that was messed up but I think we would have to wait for the autopsie to come out the lowest he can go is manslaughter I think if George Floyd died to a prior medical condition which means the cop at least assisted in his death because the cop could of helped him.

ikr trump supporters smh.
I don’t change my mind on murder, and I will never justify murder.
So you are against Abortion?
Abortion is not murder
@scarlett774 Other people have different opinions on that, just the same as the cops trying to subdue a crazy man who is fighting them.
@daniela1982 the “cops” are murderers, Floyd was not fighting them as you say and abortion is not murder 😂

What a load of B. S. "I'm Claustrophobic".
A likely story, any criminal would make up some similar excuse not to go to jail.
He was a drug addict and a child molestor. Good riddance I say. His blood is on his own hands.
Did you see the video? He was nice to cops , showed no resistance , asked for mercy.
@888theGreat uuuuh no resisted arrest and freaked out

Of course, nobody should die in police custody. But the claims people are making off the back of this unfortunate situation is outlandish.
Here you have a great video why it is really important for everyone to comply.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/yfi3Ndh3n-gDoesn’t change my opinion on it at all.
What was your viewpoint before, if you don’t mind me asking? (I’m not planning to debate any sides, I’m just curious what GAG’s viewpoints are.)
Drugs or not no one deserves to be killed like that. Shit is and was gross.
Ok, thanks for sharing 👍
With all due respect, @Lyndsielee666, I wouldn't be so sure on what the cause for death is. There are allegations about Floyd ingesting a pan of fentanyl as he saw cops approach him. If he had not resisted, the cops MIGHT have been able to help by taking him to the hospital.
Bag* of fentanyl, sorry, I can't type on Thursdays.
@Marilynjuana mmm either way he didn’t deserve for someone to kneel on him for eight minutes but okay
dude had a murder record and was resisting arrest... you are an NPC
@Pliskin55 sure thing bud
@FakeName123 sure thing bud.
Spoken like a true loser who showcases a lack of of intellectual integrity.
@FakeName123 nah I’m just not gonna argue with some triggered all lives matter ass bitch online 😘
@Lyndsielee666 You got some valid arguments though. Think with your own head instead of following a movement with clueless lunatics like a sheep.
@Lyndsielee666 The only person I see here that’s triggered would be you...
@Conspiracy_Theorist not likely bud 😇
You sure seem like it "bud".
@Conspiracy_Theorist do I thought?
Though*
Do you thought? I mean I sure hope you think, if you don't think then you're useless.
@Conspiracy_Theorist you sound like you need a nap
@Consipracy_Theories you talk about others listening to the Masters but you don’t know you are one of those blinded by the masters too, do you? Nah you don’t know. The fact that you don’t know you are a sheep too makes it really bad for you cause you think you are wise so you don’t know you need wisdom. You have knowledge but zero wisdom
@JOHNBAKER003 I read literally nothing he wrote 😂 he was big mad over absolutely nothing 😴
you think all lives don’t matter hahah you’re a loser
@Pliskin55 you’re triggered by a random on the internet but I’m the loser 🐸
I guess you’re right. I do get triggered by retards. I shouldn’t argue with fools, theyll beat me with experience.
@Pliskin55 you sound mad, are you alright? Is it past your bedtime? 🥺
its not clear he was killed by anyone, he said "i can't breathe" before they knelt on his neck... so it wasn't their actions causing him trouble breathing
@007kingifrit sure thing chad
why post at all if you're going to say such thoughtless responses? you really don't think for yourself
So you think that was going to help him breathe better having someone kneeling on his neck. OK.
@007kingifrit sure thing bud. You’re sounding awfully blue lives matter 😂😂😂
Honestly this doesn't condone what the cop did to George Floyd I think we can all agree that that was messed up but I think we would have to wait for the autopsie to come out the lowest he can go is manslaughter I think if George Floyd died to a prior medical condition which means the cop at least assisted in his death because the cop could of helped him.
it isn't fair to ask the cop to help him he couldn't have known. he used a normal hold in that situation
