That and stop Treating everyone with problems as a mental case. How do you expect someone to Want help when every time they try asking for help they are Asked a bunch of stupid Questions and Then drugged up Forcibly or otherwise.
@saintsRow3 Exactly. We need to take the stigma / negativity in regards to mental health issues so people feel comfortable searching out / getting help. Sometimes drugs do help. I have direct experience with an individual with bipolar disorder….. it’s taken 50+ years…and they are finally in a good place. 💖
You can't stop crazy people he acted like a lot of teenagers with being a loner we need to stop putting blame on everyone and everything for a person being a bad person it's all on them if he was going out to kill kids he could have just as well ran then over with a car at a bus stop until we have machines that can tell ahead of time what we are going to do then there is no stopping a single person that shows no signs of dangerous acts
Yeh, 10 people were shot at in my neighborhood near the big grocery store. One died and the other 9 went to the community hospital. I don't know their condition. So sad!😔
Stop playing violent video games for one thing. Didn't their parents see what they were looking at all day - video games that do mass shootings! They think it's cool. People shouldn't be allowed to watch that stuff. It's warping their minds.
Awfully easy to walk through a building and kill every zombie or Russian soldier you see. I think that does acclimatize people to gun violence. Because you are dismissive about it @Vendela doesn't mean there isn't truth in it.
Carving out parts of the world as super safe areas because we all promise not to do anything bad there is just fucking asinine. People shoot up schools because it's guaranteed that no one can defend themselves.
It's illegal to carry a gun in Sweden, if it so be TRANSPORTED in public in anyway it HAS to be unloaded, an if possible unassembled and packaged. You are not allowed to be armed in public.
I know we have lots of guns here. Lots of people hunt, and thats about the only you reason you can get a gun license to begin with here but you can't carry that weapon openly. You'd be arrested pretty quickly
Transform the economic system to encourage local, stable communities with the ability to support families on a single income and minimal need for people to move for work.
Schools should have cameras and doors locked at all times. I think raising the age for owning guns to 21 years old and having stricter background check where it asks if your on medication and what mental issues you have.
Take steps to properly handle mental illness at an earlier stage before it blows up. This discussion doesn't want to be had nationally and its baffling.
We have a culture that worships war and violence. We have devalued human life. We do not care for the mentally ill. Most of these shooters grew up without a father in the home. There is a no snitch mentality also.
This is only my own personal opinion but this incident falls on the same day as the Title 42 decision was to be made and being only 50 Miles from the Mexican border where this incident happened.. Is this just a coincidence?
Yes it's extremely easy to fix this but the American politicians and lots of regular people are set on keeping the constitutional support for mass shootings and schools shootings.
The only real way to stop the shootings is to ban all guns. I realise that might offend some people, but it works here in the UK (guns are restricted here) and in Australia.
How is it a teenager can buy a Military assault weapons without an ID WHAT FREAKING IDIOT SOLD THOSE WEAPON'S TO A MENTALLY DERANGED INDIVIDUAL? Legally? A teenagers brain is not even fully developed. Jesus Christ
@WhiteBoyChill calm down, men are 3 times more likely to commit suicide, commit the grand majority of violent crimes , have men the perpetrators of 98% of mass shooting and are less likely to seek mental and medical treatment.. mental health affects both men and women, men are just less likely to get help for it
@IsoUser as far as I know, no fire arm dealer is allowed to sell a gun to anyone with identification and you can’t legally buy a rifle until you are 18

It is a societal problem…. not a gun problem. There is a A lack of respect for people, life.
We need to address mental health and put safety officers in every school.
And as a society we need to get some morals again. We need to take accountability for our actions and stop blaming others and/or

Video games? Really?
Do you actually believe that?
If that's the case then Family Guy causes kids to make sexual jokes about their classmates in class

@Dargil Whose to say that Shooting games aren't just as likely to release aggression.

Yes, we can, as many 0ther countries have done, by greatly restricting gun ownership.
The crime rate in countries with strict gun laws are insanely high. Because they realize no one can stop them.
@TexasRed95 which countries? England? Australia?
TexasRed95... The lowest homicide rate in a given county in the US is higher than the highest homicide rate in a given county in Sweden...
You do understand that they can open carry in Sweden right? Many people own guns in Sweden.

We are a broken society, and we don't have a political process that can fix the problems we are facing.
We are failing as a people, right now.
It will turn out that this kid has been trouble his whole life and nobody is surprised he did this.
Probably.
Transform the economic system to encourage local, stable communities with the ability to support families on a single income and minimal need for people to move for work.
Finland had many school shootings thst were stopped by making the gun laws more and more strict everytime it occured.
I believe guns belong only in the shooting ranges.
Americans more or less consider schools to be shooting ranges...
I honestly don't know other than having schools be heavily secured, all door locked, main entrance with security personnell and metal detectors.
I wonder what's going on in the mind of someone who goes on a rampage like that.
In any case, it's sad as hell.

For some reason there's some pretty bad anger going on in our communities. When people get angry they have a tendency to take it out on others.
The only real way to stop the shootings is to ban all guns. I realise that might offend some people, but it works here in the UK (guns are restricted here) and in Australia.
Simples...
Fix the men's mental health crisis in this country.
Yeah for Christ’s sake. Because there haven’t been any instances of WOMEN needing mental health services because they’re JUST SO PERFECT AND INNOCENT

Well, they need to improve background checks or do something
