The study says no such thing.
It does that the Y chromosome has shrunken, over time, and may possibly disappear several million years from now (i. e. not "soon"). It also says that the rate in which the Y chromosome has shrunken has actually slowed down, over time, so whether it ultimately disappears, or not, is not a certainty.
Furthermore, the study makes no such claim that men will disappear. It instead offers the hypothesis that the genes necessary for the development of male traits could just as easily shift to another gene, instead, and provides examples of two species of rodents in which this has already happened. Species that still have males, but no Y chromosome.
The study also postulates that humans could develop a new, separate sex, which could again, potentially, replace the male sex, but is not certain.
So, no; there are no definitive claims that men are going to disappear, and even if that were to ultimately happen, it will not occur at any point in the near future. Please don't post sensationalist headlines like this, and pass them off as fact, when they are nothing more than speculative theories about the distant future.

If a certain percentage of men would disappear because that damned Y chromosome seems defective, that would in any case mean far less wars all over the world, and more girls for the remaining guys. A win-win situation I daresay ;0)

The study says the y chromosome may disappear in a few million years.
But if men disappear, humanity will too. Even if women could reproduce without men, they cannot live without them. Men make life on this planet possible. Without all the things men do behind the scenes every day to make this planet livable, women would all die. That's just a fact.
I’d like to read this study, because it would take millions of years of evolution for something like that to happen. And right now at this moment, there are more men alive than at any time in human history, so there’s no shortage of dick
Anyone who would say such a thing without producing empirical evidence to support it is an idiot or an asshole. What does that make you?
Homo sapiens would end in 120 years. The world will return to its new balance.
The world without men would have very few people. It's not every day you see a woman get pregnant with no men.
One generation. And full of live spiders.🤣🤣🤣
