Why is Erdogan the Turkish president not supporting his own people during the Earthquake and instead other countries like America are?

I am sick and tired especially of America supporting other countries especially Turkey when their own gov has enough money to rebuild and help their own people but choose not to. The Turkish people have also mentioned plenty of times how much they hate America.

Turkey is experiencing a financial crisis. Actually, I saw a list before of countries that hate Americans and Turkey isn't so bad. 40% of Turks still like us, and you have to remember when COVID hit, Turkey was one of the only countries that allowed Americans to visit with no restrictions. I spent two weeks in Turkey and didn't witness any anti-American sentiment. They hate Russians far more than they hate Americans. Turks are far from perfect, but to say they hate Americans is extremely unfair and inaccurate. But I will say, if they're gonna help Turkey, they should help Syria too.

They're saying it's too dangerous to send aid groups to Syria, because it's a war zone, but there is no more war in the places that were hit by the earthquake. Plus there are Western aid groups in Ukraine. This is about nothing more than politics. Though it is kind of hard to send American aid groups if the country has officially banned Americans from entering the country, though this didn't seem to be an issue when they sent soldiers. This is about nothing more than politics. Turkey is an ally and Syria isn't.

I asked my Turkish friend about this and she told me that Erdogan has been stole the tax collected from the public for 20 years for possible earthquakes. That's why the public is raising money through self-donations. Survivors die from cold weather. It's terrible... I hope all is well there.

Exactly and most people supported him as president too. So no country should be helping them.

Nationalists and racists, I read on Twitter that there was an earthquake in some Kurdish cities in there, Iraqi Kurds sent aid to the Kurds there, but I doubt that Erdogan will accept aid from them to his country.
