Other than the support for Muslims and anti-Jewish sentiment, why is there any argument to support Palestine in this war?

I really want to understand the argument for Palestine.

Israel was there first. I don't believe there's any argument about that.

Hamas, I believe, suggest that they are entitled to a Muslim state whereas the Jewish people have Israel, but any of the countries around Israel are Muslim states, so that's not really an argument either.

Then, Hamas started this latest tit/tat by bombing Israel a few weeks ago.

It seems to me that Palestine is in the wrong any way one looks at this. Moreover, it would seem that Israel is now in a position to just take over that area and call it all Israel.

Now, explain to me where I'm wrong.

The land of Israel belonged to the Jews prior to the Roman Empire.


So if we’re going that far back in terms of who was there first, there’s that.


But, if you go even further back, the land of Israel was once called the land of Canaan and actually belonged to the Canaanites.

The Roman Empire empire renamed the southern region of as Palestine.


Fast forward to the Ottoman Empire, and you can see that the whole area was established as Palestine by the Ottoman Empire.


After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire during WW1, it was Britain who took over Palestine and then issued the Balfour Declaration in 1917.

After WWII, the UN decided to just divide the land in half, which the Palestines felt was unfair because thousands of families would be driven out of their homes. (Which did happen.)

But as you can see today, the Palestinians have lost so much of their land due to Israel exceeding what was agreed to them by the U. N.


And now, it seems like Israel wants to take over all of Palestine.


But this fight over the rights of land isn’t the biggest outrage right now.


It’s the fact that the terrorist organization, HAMAS, (not the country of Palestine), started a war with Israel.


And now the Israeli government has declared war on Palestine, (not just Hamas).


Not only that, but Israeli troops are shooting and killing non-combatants — civilians of Palestine.


It’s one thing for a terrorist to shoot unarmed civilians, but it’s another thing for the IDF to shoot unarmed civilians.


It’s a brutal government-backed genocide.


Sure, put an end to Hamas. Bring down the terrorist organization. I’m all for that.


But the unarmed Palestinian civilians? The IDF has no business killing them. Their war is supposed to be with Hamas, not with Palestine.


And even IF Israel decided to unjustly start a war with Palestine, why allow the IDF to kill unarmed civilians and even bomb a hospital?


It’s unnecessary brutality. Let combatants fight against other combatants, but leave the non-combatants alone.

If the United States was at war with Russia, it would make sense for American soldiers to fight against Russian soldiers.

What would NOT make sense is if American soldiers were also killing ALL Russians — including unarmed women and children.

One scenario would be a war.

The other scenario would be a barbaric ethnic-cleansing.

I understand that you're trying to separate Hamas with Palestinians but it seems that it's the members of Palestine that have placed Hamas into power. Yes?

The modern people of Lebanon and Palestine are not Canaanites they are Arabs, is there some DNA overlap, sure but there is always DNA overlap, they have assimilated into the Arab tribes whereas Jews have kept their identity. The IDF wouldn't kill civilians if it didn't have to fire at civilian areas unfortunately that is where Hamas fires from. Israel couldn't defend itself without killing civilians it would be impossible, but all blood is on Hamas' hands and the reason why they fire from those areas is because they get sympathy from people like you.

Hamas is not part of the Palestinian government. They’ve hijacked control of the Gaza Strip, like powerful cartels have hijacked control over territories in Mexico — aka by force. It’s a violent (and offensive) organization that stands against Israel.

When you look at protests in America. It’s one thing to stand for social justice. It’s another to set cars on fire and throw Molotovs at buildings.

There’s a difference between peaceful protest and violent rioting, even though both are a response to injustice.

Separating Hamas from the rest of the Palestinians is separating the violent offensive ’freedom fighters’ from the ones who do NOT attack Israel and just want to protect their families.

They do not go out on the offense to attack Israel. They have been backed into a corner, where they are literally defending their doorstep because all they have are women and children inside their homes. It’s the same as if you were to protect your house from your porch, with your wife and kids inside. They aren’t with Hamas. They just want their families to be safe.

But the IDF makes no distinction between Hamas and the Palestinians that just want to defend their families.

It’s this lack of discernment that is the cause of merciless and mindless slaughter of those who do not even side with Hamas.

Imagine if America went to war with Mexico, because the Sinaloa Cartel started a war with the US.

Their war should be with the cartel and not with the innocent civilians that do not support the cartel nor have any ill will towards America.

Just to be clear, I do not sympathize with Hamas.

My sympathy is for the innocent Palestinians who have no part with Hamas.

As well as the innocent Israelis that have been attacked by Hamas.

I do not support terrorism or genocide.

I support human rights.
