I always say despite what you hear in the media, the UN, NATO, Politicians etc are all saying if you really want to know what is happening you look at how it benefits American foreign policy and American buisness interests. Basically follow the money. Look at Afghanistan, billions of us taxpayer money spent and they pull out just in time for the Ukraine war and later gaza war. The us military could have stayed in Afghanistan for another 20 years and nothing the taliban could do about it but there was no more money to be made. They even left a parting gift of us weapons for the tsliban to give Pakistan and Iran something to worry about.
