It's just something candy makers and card companies put a lot of effort into it. I have no idea why people get so hyped up over it when people can't even stay in a relationship for more than a month, or stay married for more than 5 years in today's society.

I know lots of people who are crazy about it but I think most people just prefer it to be a reminder to give a reminder. I saw someone else here say that and I think it is perfect. It doesn’t have to be a big deal lovey dovet sort of thing just a simple reminder for those who are in love.
