How would you react if your partner had an anonymous admirer?

Someone left some Valentine's Day gifts outside my house and my partner's a little hurt about it. I don't see the issue. I chose to spend Valentine's with him, and just because someone gave me gifts doesn't mean I reciprocate. I don't even know who left them. Is he being weird or am I?
