If we are dating I would expect it but I would probably have sent it to her first. If we are just talking to each other I would not expect it at all but would not be offended if she did.

We don't celebrate Valentine's day. Though I generally take my wife on a date for Valentine's day. I normalized romancing her many years ago so Valentine's day is just another day for us
