The Silent Symphony: ~ ~ **' ~ ~ **'
|
One word could easily capture it all,
Beauty, glamour, all of that and more.
But all the while, in handing her a rose,
I chose the word, simply "Phenomenal!"
It was the only word I could say
As she stood so elegantly;
Taking her by my lead, it was
Our first date to commit to memory.
Ending the night along
the moonlit-beach shoreline
She said "May I have this dance;
To seize this moment in time!"
"But, there is ... no music?"
Was my reply, a curious response.
"That's all in your head;
Listen, there's music in my heart" ~ ~ **
This is what she said.
And, it truly made me believe
That she was just phenomenal;
An angel of silent harmony.
As time went on, and
our relationship strengthened,
I could just barely hear this song;
Our connection gave it definition. ~ ~ **
The song became louder
As best friends we became,
Not only boyfriend and girlfriend,
But two of the same.
Then, there it was again,
the silent song without a name.
With sounds of pianos and church bells,
And also a choir that sang.
At last I was so relieved to hear, again,
This song, that my lady made me believe
Because I know that love is "by my side"-
She promises that's where she chooses to be.
Together we are a team
and she is everything that is inspiring
So in taking her back to the moonlit shore lines-
I found myself kneeling, and handing her a ring.
Placing my ring in addition,
To her grandmother's heirloom-
"Only accept this, if the answer is yes"
As the night sky played that same tune: ~ ~ **
Then there was that special day
When the lyrics finally became clear:
"Here comes the bride" ...
Where confetti, and a bouquet is tossed in the air!
With an opening of a door,
And guided by a helping hand-
There was my angel;
I knew it from first glance.
