I swear when watching hockey or a sporting event and the ref makes a bad call or something. I also swear sometimes in frustration or just for fun because it comes natural to swear. It just fits in conversation sometimes. Is it a turn off if a woman swears to much? Are there certain occasions where it is ok for a woman to swear? Does it show bad character about the woman if she swears too much or does it mean she doesn't have a very broad vocabulary?
What are your thoughts on vulgar language , coming from a woman?
I place a distinction between swearing (taking the name of the Lord Thy God in vain!) and cussing (using slang words like fu*k, hell, damn, shit, etc.) I greatly dislike girls that swear unless she has a slip up. Otherwise, I don't mind a girl that cusses as long as she's not cussing in normal conversation all the time other than to make a point about something with friends. I know some girls that actually cuss a lot but they use it in a fun way or to accent something they're saying, or they're mad at someone that slighted them and they want THEM to get the point!
I prefer a woman who doesn't use vulgarities. It shows a lack of refinement and class. Having said that, I have to agree with tegdim about minor slips of the tongue. It is kinda cute when a curse word slips out unintentionally, for instance when she's caught off guard by something, like when her THIRD scoop of chocolate ice cream accidentally slides off the top of her cone or when she stubs her toe in the dark.
I have been turned off more times than I can recall when I have seen an attractive woman swear in public, even more so if she is loud and obnoxious or drunk, or both!. It is very unbecoming.
Furthermore, I believe it was Malcolm X who said:
"A man only curses because he doesn't know the words to express what is on his mind. "
So increase your vocabulary and you will have a much more eloquent, descriptive and accurate way to express yourself while maintaining your dignity and poise, and that will earn you the respect from friends, family and strangers alike I'm sure you so richly deserve.
It's depends on who you talking to, different people have different limit. To me, as long as the girl doesn't swear every time she opens her mouth then it's ok. Sometimes seeing a girl swear is cute especially if they hardly swear.
I have a few female friends who refuse to swear, and give a judging look every time I swear (which is a lot). Let me tell you, this bugs the hell out of me. Girls who swear are cool because it shows that they're down to earth and not afraid to be themselves and show an edge that a lot of girls are scared to show. It's a personal choice whether to swear and how much to, but personally when a girl swears it makes me inclined to think she's a more laid back girl and I like that.
Of course, there are times when you need to know not to swear, and there's a limit to how vulgar is ok, but overall I'm a fan.
I don't mind the swearing at any sporting event or family occasion. I have cousins and uncles that swear every time their mouths open. The only places that I can't stand people swearing are during Weddings, Funerals or other related occasions where RESPECT is common sense.
I swear. I swear a lot. I know...it may sound bad but that's not to say I don't know my limits. And as far as I know... every time I swear around my guy friends... they think its pretty cool. But then again, some guys might not like it.. but in all fairness.. not EVER word coming out of my mouth is a swear... I only use those terms when suitable. As long as people know their limits and others along with it.. it should be okay to say "F*CK" once in a while.

When giving tough love to a friend or even someone you don't know - I would like to bring up a few points that may seem "considerate" to think about, before advising. Tough Love isn't for everybody....
Call her a lot. Let her know you are always thinking about her, and make an effort to see her as much as possible, depending on how far away you are. Make sure she knows you are not cheating on her.
Not all guys get over it that easily but most of them try to play it off cool so they don't show any weakness...another reason why some guys get over the break-up so easily is because they just don't...
