Like the title suggests. Is it a turn off? I'm not talking about bawling or anything, just tears during the sad parts. Is that a turn off? what do you people think about it? any thoughts will be fine.
It's nothing I see as bad. As long as they're not balling over something that really shouldn't be cried over. Unless it means something to them. Other than that, I think it's good a guy can get in touch with their sensitive side once in a while. Doesn't make him any less macho.
They're just sensitive people or either they fake it to get into girl's pants. Depends on their other personality aspects. I'm female and I wouldn't be attracted to guy who can't hide such side of emotions, even when I have strength not to cry lol. It's just fun, guy cries :d
I'm not the type of girl who's comfortable around anyone when they cry - even if it is just a stray tear during a movie. there is no way I'd consider a guy crying in a movie a turn off - but I don't think it would be a turn on either. It would just be one of those things. Maybe if it was the 'hot-shot macho guy' type who'd I'd only seen one side of - then it'd be a bit of a turn on because it showed the other side of him. But on the whole - it wouldn't really have that much effect on me. i know to a lot of girls it would be a huge turn on - but I think there are many other, more substantial ways in which a guy can show emotion towards me than to a movie which would be more of a turn on.
I have a really macho, muscular guy friend who cried during the notebook. I thought it was adorable. I wasn't really turned on, simply because he's just a friend. But if a guy I liked teared up, it would be a good thing.
This actually happened to me and to be honest it was a major turn on. Now we aren't talking bawling, a few tears and acknowledgment of emotion. It made me happy he actually could feel.
I guess it would just go to prove to me that guys have feelings too. I'd be a bit surprised cos it's not something I've come across but no, it wouldn't be a turn off.
Depends on the movie. If it's old yeller, yeah that's fine. Or if there's something in the movie that brings back something personal, like when a guy I was with cried during kramer vs. Kramer because it reminded him of his divorced parents, then sure, that's totally cool. If they're crying at something that doesn't seem terribly sad, but is instead just kind of maudlin, that'd seem a little girly to me.
I like it. Watched a movie with my guy last week, I almost cried and he had one tear or so. He had already seen the movie, I hadn't. I'm a bawler. I found it sexy. I like it, it means guys are not all 'macho'. I hate that society teaches us that certain emotions are for certain genders, like 'real men don't cry' crying is for girls. Um no it isn't! wtf. It takes a mature man in touch with his sensitive side to allow someone to see him get emotional. :)
This might sounds cheesy, but the *only* time I every cried was a walk to remember. I literally cried my brains out.
Not because of the sadness, its because of the love and dedication that the husband demonstrated towards his wife. It was something I had never seen demonstrated to that level in a movie.
Awww! I luved that movie it was soooo sad ....see now that's an ok time to cry :) - 6 months ago

Lol I guess you are right emo muffin, though I was like crying for a couple of mins, well maybe not a couple of minutes, but it wasn't a single tear drop either.... - 6 months ago
I think you were wanting girl responses, but let me say that I have tears sometimes, especially towards the end of a romantic movie. Like forest gump and many others. It shows you have emotions. The kind of emotions that build great relationships. The kind that has real sincere love in them. Feelings for people. You can emphasize with people's when they have really bad luck or something terrible happens to their lives. If a guy is so hard faced that he can't even show teary eyes during something that's really sad, I'd say he's got some kind of emotional problem. I don't think many girls will say it's a turn off unless they have am emotional problem of some kind.
