He said the biggest factor in whether you make it in building your career is how dedicated and stubbornly hard working you are.

He said he had never met a guy that worked insanely hard that did not succeed at the goals he set to achieve in life, and I do not know what his religious background is or if he is religious at all, but Solomon said in the book of proverbs, that

“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty…”

For example, I know a lawyer who said. “There are a lot of stupid lawyers…”

And I laughed at him, like, “How could you be stupid if you are a lawyer?”
