I don't understand why some women would go out with a guy, break things off and say they want to remind friends, act on that whenever they see the guy in person, but then have their phone numbers deleted. I know a girl who did this and when I asked her why, she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't give me an answer.
So you won't initiate conversation. I would tell a guy "lets still be friends" actually I would never tell a guy that- its rude, I would never stay friends with a guy I dated, I wouldn't be able to handle such emotions. I delete numbers so that when I get tempted to call boys that I used to be involved with, I wont.
or because I think it is their job to initiate what ever I think they need to start.
I know girls who do it as a security measure, so that after a few drinks they can't ring you up for either a drunken chat at 2 in the morning or a booty call. They do it to prevent any misunderstandings and embarrassments.
Many women does it because they don't want a reminder of the boys. Even when a girl broke off with a guy that doesn't mean it doesn't affect her. It allows her to move on and less reminder is better. Breaking up or being dump affect girls mentally and emotionally and to move on we need to get rid of many things that will remind us of the person.For guy is different because you guy forget so easily and move on with another girl like no tomorrow.
So let me get this straight. Are you saying that If a women had feelings or still have feelings for the guy then that would prompt her to delete the phone number???? Because I just don't see how it makes sense for the women to delete the number If she had no feelings for him whatsoever and only saw him as a friend. - 2 months ago

Yes, even she have no feeling she still doesn't want a reminder anyway. Erased a phone number symbol new beginning and new life. When you guy agreed to be friend, did she sounds sincere about it? If she is really sincere then she shouldn't erase your phone number in the first place. - 2 months ago

She definitely sounded sincere about it. Also, she definitely acts like my friend when I see her. She initiates the conversation and horseplays with me. It's weird though. I always figured that If a women did this is because she still has feelings for the guy. So in doing it, they resist temptation to get with the guy(because she might like him but for some reason not want to get with him). - 2 months ago

She acts like she wants to be friend with you so I don't see any reasons why she erased your phone number. IF I agreed to be friend with the guy, I'll keep his number and his email address too. I'm a female, if I really like a guy and he is available then I would do everything to make him my boyfriend unless I don't like him enough but he is a good guy then I'll make him my friend. - 2 months ago

I agree. This is why I feel that she deleted it because she still had feelings for me and she didn't want to be tempted to get back with so she tries to avoid getting in possible contact whenever she can. Obviously, she'll talk to me in person because If she didn't then she would be rude. I mean, this is what I think. I could always be wrong, but I don't think I am.
