Is it possible to be in love with more than one person at once? I'm the type of person who looks into things way too much, but I have always had this feeling inside of me that lead me to believe my recently ex boyfriend never got over his first relationship, which was about 4 years ago (they also dated for about a year and a half). I dated him for almost 2 years and we were in love. Also, just so you know, we broke up for other reasons and his ex girlfriend has been in a relationship for a couple years now.
I get that feeling because he spoke about her here and there and I know after they broke up he told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but she shut him down because that was the second time he broke up with her. He also mentioned to me that after that incident occurred he was depressed for about a year and a half.
I just want to know if this commonly happens? and if it is common for a person not to get over an ex for 4 years or longer?
I am not sure if you ever asked him about that or not. Maybe you should just give him space to think about you.... - 3 months ago
Question Asker
How much space do you think is enough space? It has been over 2 months now since we broke up, we have only spoken a couple times. I don't really have any intention of calling him because I know it would hurt too much. I rather him call me. Do you think he will eventually call me? - 3 months ago

2 months and he hasn't called? I think that maybe you should call him and act totally okay with the break up. Just call him to catch up amdh see how life is going. I think 2 months gave him plenty of time to think things through. - 3 months ago

Yeah in that case I'm not going to bother calling him at all because if he still wanted to be with me, he would have made the initiative to talk to me more often. - 3 months ago
