What's the best way to confess my love to her?

Question

We've been friends for a while, and I think she already knows what I feel and is waiting for me to say it. I'm going to confess my love to her. So girls, you tell me... should this be done in a handwritten note in person, hand-written note not in person or verbally? Ladies you be the judge, I'm going to sweep her off her feet!

What is something every girl wants to hear in a note like this? Additional input on sweeping her off her feet would be appreciated!

Tell her she is all you think about. You find yourself neglecting other things throughout the day, because you can't get her off your mind. Then tell her you couldn't hold how you felt much longer, because you want to end the anticipation of knowing how she really feels for you. Then offer in the message a special place and time for you to meet and talk in person. It wouldn't hurt to bring her something neat, like a new music cd of one of her favorite bands, or something small like one of her favorite candies with a small ribbon around it or something. Just personalize it in your own way. That will make it comfortable and memorable, I think. But, what do I know?

If you want this to be really special tell her in person.  Love notes can come later.  Unless you're really shy, then maybe do something special and slip her a note.  Really though in person is so sweet.  Just prepare her for it, maybe take her on a date and tell her.  Work it into the conversation.  It's a very individual type thing so it's all up to you what you say.  We can't tell you how you feel about her or even what she means to you, so that's up to you.  Compliment her and make her feel special.  Look her in the eyes when you tell her as well.

Also, don't just say "I love you". Say WHAT you love about her, WHY and describe what you feel about her apart from the word "love". It is way more genuine if you can actually describe what it means and feels like to love her other than using the "L" word, it means way more. And then use it once right at the end so that it is clear how seriously you said everything else. Tell her where you want things to go. It is terrible having to guess!

take her out on a date.buy a few roses. show her she's wanted. kiss her be very touchy and cute and just say I love you if she feels the same way about you shell say I love you back. it doesn't matter how yu say it just speak yur mind don't wright a note! shell love you either way!

Either! Aww you are such a sweetie! Ahhh I love this post! I wish the guy I liked would do that for me! Guys like you are hard to find so NEVER lose that trait! SO ROMANTIC! That's what guys in todays society are missing. I think EVERY girl wants a guy to do this. Or it could just be the fact that I'm a hopeless romantic.

Anyway, I guess I would say either tell her verbally or give her the hand written note in person and maybe walk away for a min while she reads it and then come back and see what she says. Tell her how pretty she is, you think about her alot, being with her makes you happy, you care for her (which says you love her), you look foward to being with her/talking with her all the time, and say something about something she does that you love. Something like, I love the way you crinkle your smile at something or something like that. But I would go verbally. Post what she says! Good luck!

To answer my question (which I didn't have enoguh room to in the comment)- all I'd really want my guy friend to do is tell me how he really feels and why. Most I've my guy friends I've already fell in love with in a very loving yet non-romantic way. I guess I'd just have to trust that a relationship wouldn't ruin ever the friendship we shared.

You should definitely tell her in person. If you want a private moment, pull her aside and start off with something like what blondegirlsite said. Express mostly everything you've felt up to now. If she sees, hears, and feel what you're saying you might be able to score some brownie points to get her :D But if you can, and especially if she loves poetry or songs, write in a note saying what you feel in a poem (this makes it more sweet and romantic). It might cause her surprise and probably (depending on her personality) a bit angry for not telling her face-to-face so after that, definitely confront her. I voted verbally  because I'm leaning towards verbally more, but if you can, do both!

well I think, you should write a note. A very sweet note. Because if you will confess verbally it may shock her and nothing much will happen. Give her some time to think about what you feel. (It's from my life - I love that guy but when he confessed verbally I was very shocked and didn't know what to do)

But after that note, you should find her and talk about it. :)

definitely tell her in person, but if you start going out with her, leave notes notes on her car' windshield or on her doorstep that say how much you love her..it's really romantic :)

You  should only do this if your sure she has some idea that you like her and that she known for a little while. Because I had a guy just out of the blue tell me he liked and it was very odd and not something that is easy to forget about. But you should tell her a few reasons as to why you like her, little things you like about her, that will sweep her off her feet.

I don't know if this sounds cheesy or something but I always thought of giving someone a card or note or something that had some romantic song lyrics or a famous romantic poem and then say " these words aren't enough to express what you mean to me" and then end with I Love you or something.

Well first off make sure that it's after a happy point. Like after a good time on a date. Also if you're in a group pull  her aside! Girls don't like private stuff spilled in front of everyone. And when you get alone don't say right away "I love you" it's definitely sweeter if you start out with how you felt when you first met her and how your feelings progressed into love. Is this lust or love?  How do you know you love her if you've never been romantically involved with her?  I would first tell her that you "like" her and go from there.  Love is a powerful word that should be used liberally.  I'm not saying that you don't mean.  Just don't jump in head first.  It might scare her away.
