Camping trip...?

My personal answer would be a definite no. Teen/early 20s guys often look on guys/girls camping trips as "getting laid for free". Whether that's true or not in this case, it sounds like it's putting you in a position that I wouldn't want a friend of mine in, and I personally wouldn't really want to be in either.

Yes, I'm straight, yes I like meeting and being in the company of women, but being shoved into a tent with the expectation that I'll be spending the night with a somewhat intoxicated woman that I don't really know that well, who may or may not have "expectations" for the night would be tough and unfair to both of us.

I mean, putting myself into the situation, does a somewhat intoxicated "yes" given to a somewhat intoxicated guy really mean yes, or would it turn into a "no" in the cold sober light of day? If I decided to be a "nice guy", just kiss, snuggle up and snooze, am I going to be the laughing stock the next day when she says I was boring? Or if things do go a lot further, there are other issues: does she get p|$$ed off the next day because she wouldn't have said yes if she were thinking clearly? Can two tipsy people properly use protection? (Usually no)

The other issue here is that you haven't really met this guy except for online. Many people routinely lie about themselves online. What's the chance that this guy that you don't really know has done that? Can you be 100% positive that he isn't possibly attached? A drug user? Criminal? Carrying an STD?

My point is that your first meeting is too soon (in my opinion) to jump into bed with someone. It's also rather unfair of your friend to put you in a position where you are almost expected to have sex with a guy you've just met. I wouldn't ever do that to any of my female friends, or any of my male friends for that matter. It's like she's pushing you into it by putting you in a position where it's basically expected of you and him.

Another bit of food for thought is this: would you think that a guy who would jump into bed with a girl on the first meeting was "keeper" material? No offense to you intended, but personally, I wouldn't be too interested in a long-term relationship with a girl who would go to bed with me on the first date. Everyone can slam me for that if they want, but I'd rather be more than another notch on someone's bedpost.

Tough situation you're in, but stick to what you'll be cool with next week/month.
